Welcome to Los Angeles! Nicknamed "Gang capital of America"

Poverty runs rampant in Los Angeles, many struggling to get by and with little hope of getting out of the slums, not to mention alive. Many perish, many left with little to no options at life, unemployment is high and opportunities to get employed are slim, especially if one has a criminal record.

With families working multiple jobs are scraping to get by, getting their kids through school, paying off their loans, medical bills from ill family members etc.
Naturally some will turn to crime to get by in life and/or feed their habits, which is a rather slippery slope considering that greed is more than likely to take over, no one living a life of poverty will turn down easy money if they have very little to lose in life.

Gangs have existed for quite some time in America of all kinds, Latino gangs, African-American gangs, Asian ethnicity gangs. Some gangs have a high membership count, some gangs are comprised of very small numbers, are also seperate but exist as vassals to the dominating gangs, paying tributes, working as hired expendable muscle or having their territory used as a permamanet drug corner, perhaps even an establishment of traphouses.

A particular gang emerged in the late 60s, Bridgeway Rollerz "B.Rz". It was one of the very few gangs that actually allowed people of all races and ethnicity to become a member. One can recognise a Roller by a black and white collored bandana they wear, usually the old Rollerz would wear their bandana around their elbow, like an armband.

In the mid 80s, they enjoyed a bit of the new's spotlight, covering the ruthless nature of what awaits to those who decide to make enemies with "The Bridgeway Rollerz" even in their prime, they were comprised of small numbers and still held their own very well. Their main strenghts was their brutality, organisation and partial firearms training, due to their fierce reputation, they managed to scare away alot of those who tried to muscle in.

Savile Yard Hustlers and the Bridgeway Rollerz are sworn enemies. Their territories are right next to eachother which made it easy for both combatants to venture into each other's turfs and cause problems. Even thought the Hustlers had more members than the Rollerz, the Hustlers suffered significantly way more casualties than the Rollerz.

Half of the Bridgeway residents, seen the Rollerz as street heros in their territory aswell as Eaglewood, thanks to the Rollerz actually giving something back to their community where they originated from, buying school supplies for kids, giving money to put on a thanksgiving table for broke familes, even christmas if the Rollerz had money to throw about.

They also gained respect and admiration from the youth in Bridgeway row, the kids knew Rollerz were once poor and broke just like they were and all of a sudden they started seeing the Rollerz wearing nice clothes, driving nice cars, able to buy anything they would want from the store, drinking top-shelf alcohol.

Like many others, the kids were naturally attracted to their gang life style, to risk their life in order to have a chance to live wealthy a life.

The lifespan of the Bridgeway Rollerz lasted up until the beggining of the year 1991, the Rollerz suffered a nearly-fatal blow from the larger gang. Little information is known about what sparked it.

Rumors suggest it was a desperate, if not greedy struggle for supremacy over who will be the number 1 supplier in Los Angeles of a new widespread and popular drug called "Crack Cocaine". Blood was spilled on both sides, Rollerz put up a decent fight, but they were reduced to only a handful of members. Possibly seeing as they had two options, either to stay and and die or flee with the leftover money out of Los Angeles...

Could the Bridgeway Rollerz return to their former glory with the new blood trying to fit their feet into the big shoes of the old Rollerz?
Regardless, the Savile Yard Hustlers still exist and in greater numbers due to them willing to do grunt work for anyone with a buck...
