Tossing this back up. It was a D&D campaign that ran outta juice. Set in a pretty high fantasy setting. Looking to explore some sort of romance while having to deal with having fallen as a paladin all the while trying to keep a kingdom alive. PM if you're interested!

My paladin, a servant of Illmater in Faerun, falls after returning from the Ravenloft adventure to Cormyr. While he was granted the title of Count and given control of the Stonelands, he had decided to follow his party to Westgate before attending to his duties as Count. Unfortunately, after a series of rather desperate choices to save his party instead of follow his "oathes", Marinus Rousalline falls. After this event he is often visited by a woman in his dreams who calls herself "the Dark Lady" (think it was supposed to be one of the evil gods of Faerun. We were level 14 by this time). Crippled and broken without his power, he decides to bid his party farewell and returns to Glorianna (the land he was granted) to at least serve out his duty as Count.

That's where my time, unfortunately, ended with my D&D group. The ultimate conflict in the Stonelands is a vain attempt to try and clear out all the orcs around it. That, and the Zhentarim are pushing in from the North I believe. You could really throw mostly any other conflicts that you may find interesting in there as well. At this time, the party had escaped Ravenloft while consequently fulfilling a prophecy of the "convergence" where the Mists and all its inhabitants have escaped into the other planes. This has resulted in the disappearances of entire cities. Now, with that said, you could play pretty much anyone you want in that scenario and it's also pretty open ended.
