MxF Dystopian Future - Looking for a Partner

Here's an idea I'd love to explore some more. Please feel free to inbox me with any ideas or suggestions, I'm looking for a MxF partner for this RP who can hold an ongoing story as far as it takes us. I do have some twists in mind~​

The year is 3021. Humans are now an endangered species. Our technological advances have been without delay, using all available resources to create the ideal vision of the future. But…we have gone too far, with civilizations around the world crumbling as human life scrambles to create new ways of living and thriving. The lower and middle class have combined to form a new class, The Underlives. The overall population has been reduced and the upper class remain The Elite, enjoying the luxuries of the past and continuing with the life most humans could never even dream of now that so much has changed.

A new program has emerged due to the continuous loss of human life within the last hundred years. Not only has the world turned on humans, but infertility rates have skyrocketed. Only a fraction of the remaining population can reproduce, and The Elites do not want to lose power. Now The Matchmaker program has been twenty-five years strong, with more "volunteers being recruited" and an overall slow increase in the human population due to the participants in the study. The Elite upper class has been able to increase as they take on the new human lives, with observations that at the current rate of success the program has been having, society may be able to regrow anew.

But like anyone over the age of twenty-one, you probably have questions.

It's called going to The Matchmaker. Two people enter, three people leave…if you're lucky. The overall goal: reproduction.

Only the desperate go to The Matchmaker because no one has ever spoken about what it's like in the compound. Criminals may be sentenced to go see The Matchmaker if they are a viable/fertile, healthy candidate for the program. The poverty stricken may have no other option, just like the sick or dying. People will do anything for their families, or because they are ordered to do so. But why would this be such an option? The pay. After registering to the program, any volunteer is automatically given one hundred thousand (Xens). This would be enough to see any family of Underlives out of poverty and into a better home. However, this is not the final goal. Successful reproduction, this can grant applicants several billion (Xens), depending on which Elite family accepts the new addition to their family. Depending on the genetic makeup of the match, people have been known to outbid each other for the chance to raise a child. This is not only a matter of life or death, but it is a way to make money.


Beginning:

You can design your character's background and figure out why they have ended up going to The Matchmaker. RP begins slightly before entering the compound, a very luxurious technological paradise designed to be enjoyed by participants to ensure success. Males and females must stay in paired groups, but there are common hours under strict security supervision.

Within the first few posts it will be established how each of our characters wind up together, as we become a matched pair and figure it out from there.


Note:

I value well rounded characters with deep stories, and I'm totally fine with any horror/thriller/sexual/intimate themes as long as it fits well with the ongoing plotline, don't overdo it lol
