For sixteen years, the once-great kingdom of Esterios suffered under the bloody rule of Merikh Hadeon. During this time, the continent was shut off from the rest of Konístra by a blood barrier created from the ritualistic murder of thousands of citizens. Now, a few centuries have passed since the Tyrant King was overthrown and the continent slowly returned to its former glory. Esterios' cities are ripe with daring exploits, its wildlands fraught with dangerous quests—but there are murmurs of a looming uncertainty, suggesting this new era of peace will not last. Suspicious figures are resurfacing in positions of authority, and others say that House Hadeon will rise again. Yet others whisper that dark magic stirs, awakening in the Fenwyld. The continent is approximately three million square miles, roughly the size of Australia. While exploring the wildlands of Esterios, one would find places ripe for further exploration, as the enchanting continent unfurls like a tapestry of dreams: sprawling wildflower fields dance in vibrant hues, ancient forests hold secrets whispered through the rustling leaves, and a hidden cave system shines with luminescent organisms and underground lakes.​ CLIMATE Esterios experiences a temperate climate with four distinct mild seasons. Summer monsoons are frequent in the southwestern region, bringing much-needed rain in the midst of hot days and sticky-humid nights. The northeastern side of the continent usually suffers from cold fronts and heavier snowfall during the winter season.​ CITYSCAPES ➤ Silverkeep — Standing as the shining center of learning and research in the region, this is where Queen Elain rules from the towering heights of her castle. Silverkeep houses the bulk of Esterios' population with approximately 950 thousand people living within the city's borders. ➤ Trostin — Trostin grew from a sleepy coastal village to a bustling city with a myriad of fishing boats and towering cargo ships laden with goods from every corner of the world. The folks of Trostin uphold the values of a tight-knit society, working to boost each other up to greater heights. ➤ Bellhold — At the center of Illowek Grove resides an orchard town laden with bountiful fruit trees. Most of the citizens are dedicated farmers who enjoy the idyllic setting. By hiding the entrance to the Fenwyld, divine magic seeps into the roots, producing rare trees that grow Aurora Apples. ➤ Erel — Located east of Cirrane Lake, Erel is home to a booming wine industry. Erel wine is considered among the best, and the techniques to make it are kept very well hidden. Those who can afford to live in the homes near the vineyard are among the richest in the area. ➤ The Wicket — Nestled in the embrace of lush forests and meandering rivers, the Wicket was built to coexist with the wildlife instead of forcing them away. The citizens live alongside wild animals and some of the highest quality medicinal herbs on the continent are grown here.​ SCENERY ➤ Aceso Wood — ➤ Lotus Bay — ➤ Ilmestys Caves — A subterranean world aglow with the soft radiance of bioluminescent flora and fauna. Throughout the cave system are many streams, caverns, and quarry sites where coveted gemstones are mined for their arcane potential. Home to stonewools, bulettes, and howlers. ➤ Cirrane Lake — The largest inland body of water in Esterios, Cirrane Lake is so pure that one can see all the way to the bottom, revealing a mesmerizing mosaic of colored stones and aquatic life. Home to many whalites, luminrays, and merfolk. Drains northward via River Symarron.​

CHAPTER II ; CULTURE Tab 1 ⠀⠀ cuisine ; ⠀⠀ fashion; LANGUAGE The primary language is Stelvari; a lilting and musical dialect.​ CUISINE Esterian dishes typically center around the abundance of orchard-grown fruits, nuts, flowers, and wine the continent yields. Some examples include pecan-crusted chicken, pear tarts, and cranberry walnut bread. Some more common items are refreshing salads, fruit-based sauces and competes, floral and herbal infusions, tea and wine, and edible flowers. Fish is a more popular entree in the northern and eastern regions.​ FASHION Esterians typically don loose garments with elegant drapery and flowing silhouettes: full-length cloaks, long dresses or skirts, hanfu, and lightweight robes. Wide sleeves, intricate embroidery, light dyes, and tasuki are common.​ ARTISTRY ➤ Painting — ➤ Ikebana — ➤ Music & Dance —​ FAITH Due to the large population of elves, fey folk, and farmers, the most worshipped deities are Kallisto, Nesdite, and Neytris.​
