I have been writing creatively (on again, off again) since I was a child, although I have sporadically enjoyed the advent of collaborative writing over the course of perhaps less than two decades. Sometimes I am rabid in my pace and enthusiasm, and will post several times a day. Sometimes I am languid, and will post once a month. Sometimes I write two short paragraphs. Sometimes I write two thousand words. Sometimes, I write exactly 666 words for no true reason at all - I assure you. The closer it is to the winter solstice, the less often I write. I like to romanticize this by supposing it has something to do with the solstice itself, but I'm sure the reality of the matter is more complicated and less interesting than that. How unfortunate it is, that reality is frequently more complicated and less interesting than romantic notions. Please do not be offput if my responses are regular in October but I fade away by November. I'm sure to be back by early spring.
I write male characters, and am interested in writing opposite female characters. I've been known to introduce supporting characters as the needs of the story dictate, but prefer to only play a single character. I enjoy playing complex individuals, whose motives are mixed or unclear, and whose virtue may be subjective. I have found humans to be useful vessels to this end, but if the setting calls for it I am prone to more nearly fantastical things. I often gravitate towards writing fiendish protagonists - for no true reason at all, I assure you.
Concerning Fandoms, there are very few settings in which I would care to write. A notable exception to this is Fallen London. If you are familiar with the Neath, please send me a message right away.
