YC is a marine biologist, who has noticed there are some strange goings on. They've told their project lead, they know there is more to explore here, but they keep being told to ignore it. Eventually, they decide to go it alone, only to find there is a whole underwater world they were unaware of. Turns out, merfolk are real. Unfortunately, so are The Great Old Ones (or similar). These merfolk have a habit of getting humans to offer as sacrifices to keep the Old Ones asleep. So what happens when MC captures YC to be the next sacrifice?# ⛤ 'Pet' x Owner - Currently Craving MC is from a rare race of nomadic, spiritual pacifists. They tend to avoid the busier worlds of humans and elves and others. Unfortunately, this makes them somewhat desirable as 'pets'; that, and the fact that some possess clairvoyance. Some how, MC finds himself kidnapped and sold to YC, a noble of their people; perhaps he is a spoil of war, or maybe YC wants him specifically for his powers. YC may hate the race, or may be opposed to the slavery, but have to go ahead to keep up appearances. The focus would be on two opposing races/characters finding out that they are more alike than different, the transition of oppression into freedom. ⛤ Demon x Human What happens when you come across an old friend who you could have sworn had died years ago? What happens when you find out that said friend is possessed by a demonic entity, hiding out in human bodies so as to evade being caught by angels, in response to having tried (and failed) to lead a rebellion against God? ⛤ Time Loops - Currently Craving I really want to do something in the vein of All You Need Is Kill/Edge of Tomorrow. You don't need to have read/seen them to be able to do this, as I'm not really looking for a fandom roleplay. Essentially, aliens have invaded the planet; these aliens have the ability to 'reset' time, which means they are destroying humanity. Every time there is a battle the aliens lose? They reset time, repeating the battle (this time knowing what will happen) until they win. However, two soldiers find themselves caught in the time loop; they remember every loop, rather than resetting. They also appear to be in 'control' of the resets, as it seems to be triggered by their death. So, two rookie soldiers go into battle against aliens, die horribly, and then wake up on the same morning to repeat. What happens next, is up to us. The author said he was inspired by how in computer games, when you die you load a save, now armed with the knowledge of how the level will play out. Yes, it is basically Groundhog Day with guns, gore and extra-terrestrial beings. ⛤ Isekai There is a prophecy that the hero to save them will come from another world, they will be legendary, they will bring peace to all. If only they could find the hero, as darkness is all consuming and they are running out of time. Then, one day, somehow, that hero appears... Only, they're not really what anyone was expecting. They're so very normal. They're human, they have no magic, they don't even have any combat skills. How is this nobody somehow going to save them all?? ⛤ Otome MC lives a quiet, unassuming life. The same humdrum, get up, go to work, come home, eat, sleep, same as every other office worker. In her free time however, she is obsessed with a game, an otome/dating sim. It is her life. One day, she is involved in an unfortunate accident, which takes her life... She wakes up, expecting whatever the afterlife might be, only to find that she's woken up in her favourite game! But she's not the heroine! She's the villainess! And she knows she ends up dying at the end; so, with her knowledge, can she save herself and, while she's at it, win the heart of her favourite character while she's at it? ⛤ Classic Fairytale Feeling In this world there are certain benevolent 'spirits' that help keep the world safe; they are extremely powerful, but also extremely vulnerable and rare (there are, perhaps, only a handful of these spirits in the world). Each spirit has a human (or humanoid) guide, who cares for and protects it as it grows into its fully fledged form. Lyra (MC) is one such human; she belongs to a nomadic tribe and both of her parents were spirit keepers also. However, her parents were killed in an accident (I mean, they were mauled by wolves, which makes no sense given these spirits shoulda kept them safe, but dream logic) and so now she is alone in the world, trying to navigate it while keeping both herself and her spirit safe. There are people in this world who want to capture the spirits and/or their keepers, so that they can bend them to their will, and use them for malevolent purposes. During her travels, Lyra comes across someone (YC) in the forest, who rescues her from a monster and helps teach her how to live in there, and a friendship blossoms. They then helps Lyra get her spirit to the far north so that it can evolve into its true form. ⛤ Dieselpunk Adventure The city is a melting pot of different cultures and races; it is outside of the many other kingdoms and works on its own rules. It's the place that youngsters run away to to start adventures when they tire of their homes, or the place where spies and traitors meet to exchange information. The city is mercenary, but liberal. While wandering the ruins of the outer city (uninhabited for hundreds of years), the characters come across an ancient being who needs to be returned to their people to prevent a world wide catastrophe. (Can play as this ancient creature, who needs help returning home, or as someone joining my character on their adventure to return said creature.)
