A few stories have come to an end and some have recently been dropped, so I decided to post another request for a story I've been mulling over lately. It's loosely inspired by a video game I played recently : Dream Daddy. Laugh all you want, I just bought it on sale for Damien because I have a thing for Victorian-looking dudes. Bonus points if they're actually Vampires. I will probably be using him as the faceclaim for my OC, but that's not a certainty just yet. Everything's kind of in the air and it also heavily depends on what will be discussed with whoever applies for this story.
ββββββββββ LAYER I : THE PLOT *
The story I have in mind goes as follows :
England in the 1800's ( can substitute modern or another era, if convinced ). MC is a wealthy man, living in this grand, somewhat creepy Estate outside of London. Locals think him an oddity. He's rarely seen outside during daylight and unless it's cloudy or raining heavily. Despite that, he does attend the King and Queen's extravagant balls each time, catching the eye of many lovestruck maidens that he politely turns down. In fact, MC has never been seen attending those balls with another person. Many rumours circulate amongst the general public. Some say MC is secretly a widower. Others are more outrageous. Generally, people's opinions are very mixed and while the King seems to favour him, other people seem suspicious of him. The truth is, MC is a Vampire who has been alive for many centuries. He was once the head of a Vampiric Coven, before being ostracised for falling in love with a human. His own council voted him out and he didn't fight it, hoping to save his human lover from witnessing bloodshed. What he didn't expect was that his former Coven, who knew MC thought of his Vampirism as an eternal curse, would turn his lover behind his back. In a fit of despair and not wanting his lover to suffer this eternal grimness, MC killed his lover before he was able to fully turn. Then he fled and found himself in London, where he settled.
Centuries later, he meets a foreign nobleman ( YC ), who immediately reminds MC of his late lover. YC has the lover's exact looks and MC is convinced that YC is his lover's reincarnation, so he pursues him romantically. How YC reacts to this is entirely up to you, but I'll say now that I love angst and heartbreak, so I'd prefer if the chemistry wasn't instant. Maybe YC is engaged already ( either because his family arranged it, or because he wanted it ), or maybe he's already married with a family of his own. He could also be a widower with sons / daughters.
The end-game is for our characters to get together, obviously.
ββββββββββ LAYER II : A BIT ABOUT MC *
The way I picture MC, he's a handsome, but aloof nobleman who attracts either looks of admiration from women or looks of distrust from men. He lives alone in a giant Estate outside London, that people had dubbed as creepy and very few have ever seen the interior. He doesn't organise balls or other gatherings, despite having a spacious ballroom and he's never seen bringing a woman to the parties he does attend. He's the type that keeps to himself and has a strong air of mystery about him that people can't place. He's not rude, or arrogant. In fact, people will tell you his manners are impeccable, despite him being distant. He has a reputation for avoiding sunlight as if it'll burn him and he's only ever seen out and about during cloudy or rainy days. He seems to have a strong sense of justice and will speak up if he witnesses cases of theft or harassment. He's favoured by the elderly King and the current Queen, who really wants MC to betrothe to her daughter.
MC has a fear of dogs and heights.
I mentioned I was going to use Damien as the faceclaim, but references of him where he's serious are sparse, so I found some alternatives in the same sort of style, or with the same vibe. Another candidate is Alucard from Castlevania, but I have a preference for the first faceclaim displayed above. I'm willing to negotiate on that one, though. I will make a Google Doc and link it somewhere here, if I have time and before someone applies for this story.

- Ideally, this story will take place in England during the 1800's. I'm very much a sucker for historical settings and I would highly prefer it over turning this modern. I might be convinced to adjust the story in a modern era, but I'd really rather keep the historical elements that tend to excite me.
- MC will most likely be of French origin, fled to England. But he can also be English from an area away from London. I haven't decided on that one just yet.
- YC can be from any country you want and I don't have a faceclaim for him in mind because I'd like to leave some creative liberties to you. Just keep in mind that a. I'm not a fan of those ridiculously muscular / macho men and b. I won't work with anything that's AI generated. That's a personal limit I won't negotiate. If you like to use AI content in your other stories, that's up to you. I just personally won't do it. It's a dealbreaker.
- I love angst and heartbreak. If your reply makes me cry real tears, my life is complete. I want lots of ups and downs in the story. If it's romance right off the bat, it tends to fall a little flat after a while. I'm sure you know what I mean.
- Darker themes are welcome, such as blood, gore, violence, triggering headcanons, etc. Just ask me, if something seems extreme to make sure we're both comfortable. Everything must be within TOS, of course.
- In terms of smut, I enjoy writing it but I don't want it to be the primary focus of the story. I won't give a ratio here, because I want it to come organically and through development. The characters will most likely be switches in bed to ensure neither of us get bored. I'm willing to write a submissive as well, but I'm honestly really bad at taking on dominant characters. I can try, if needed, but expect me to need to shake of the rust.
- Although I use the terms dominant and submissive, I don't want the story to be all about that dynamic and I definitely don't want a submissive who's always in need of saving. Picture Bella from Twilight. Let's avoid that trope, yes ?
- No extreme kinks or anything too out there. Hard limits are ageplay, incest, rape, feet, bodily fluids and hypnosis. But I'm not really interested in anything overly kinky or heavy BDSM either.
- I respond once a week to each story, more often if I'm able. If you're looking for rapid fire replies, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed because I don't have the spare time to do that.
- Replies are 300-1000 words per post, give or take. No less than 300 words and no one liners.
- Third person, past tense writing style.
- Ghost friendly, but a heads up is always appreciated. I always let my partners know if I want to drop something.
- As a last little point, I'm also happy to adjust this story to take place in Ancient China and be more of a Danmei-themed story. Instead of a traditional Vampire, I'll probably base MC off of traditional Chinese Jiangshi, in that case.

I've been in the roleplaying scene for 15+ years, dating back to when I was a clueless 13-year-old playing pretend on Facebook. I consider myself advance literate, but I'm definitely not Tolkien. I'm a huge sucker for Victorian Romance and Historical settings in general. I play video games when I have time. Mostly Overwatch 2 and Genshin Impact. I'm only looking for 21+ writers to write this story with. Your OOC gender is irrelevant, if you can write a male character. As a last note, this story is strictly MxM. If that's not your cup of tea, I'm afraid this won't work out.
