Welcome to my world, or, well rather to my world of worlds. I plan to keep everything in here just so I am not like putting up too many threads. For my ocs just check out my character thread. There are at least two worlds I am looking at putting up so please bear with me as I get that all organized. World building is often a two way street but I feel like I should look at getting the brunt of it done myself and we'll see where things go. I'll be editing when I can yeah time to get this project underway.
The world is called 'Telandria' located far in the cosmos. It is a rich and vibrant planet filled with all walks of life imaginable. Telandria is currently 15,000 in population which might not seem like a lot but honestly it is certainly enough to keep it from fallling into a state of decay or an empty planet. Telandria has two moons; the first moon is called Echo and the second one is called Prosperity. The sun which is held high above the planet burns passionately and brightly and it is hard to tell how long it has existed.
Telandria is rich in resources and wealth. The main Kingdom is called 'Exvelia' and ruled by King Yor. King Yor is the third to hold the title as his father before him, King Finch ruled before him and then his father, his grandfather, named King River ruled prior to him. Yor is a prideful man but there are inner demons at work on him or in him...let us just say he is far from a kindly King you can expect. His wife is Queen Solice, a magnificent woman burning with passion and longing that would spell doom to any species who lay eyes on her. The two clearly appear happy but underneath the surface there is certainly some...cracks. The two of them brought into the world two; a male and female. The twins who are now 18 hold a certain royal bond but also the two are the pride and joy of the Kingdom. Serving the King and Queen is the Knights of Exvelia who make up a total of 12; each male and female serve with upmost devotion though at the end of the day to whom does their loyalty lay as their very lives are put on the line to serve the royals.
Moving on from the Kingdom is a small town known as Tellsven, it is here one will find a quiet tavern of sorts that often holds requests and missives for guilts or even small ragtag groups looking to make a name for themselves. The tavern is called 'Yorkspork' yeah not exaclty the best name but it holds some special meaning to the tavern keeper 'Rochester'. The tavern also is a bit of an inn so weary travelers have a room to stay in...long as they pay of course. It is here that the rp is to set place. Tellsven apart from the tavern also features some nice homes and a guild charter is also found here. Brave adventurers often hole up here when not out on missions and the Guild Master 'Hilda' keeps those in her guild hopeful of one day making a name for themselves. However not everyone is made to be in a guild...some wind up meeting on chance and looking at seeing if they can make it without the backing of the Guild and its rules and regulations.
So one of the main forests and likely one that would take a while to traverse is the 'Forest of Dread' aptly named considering the dread one feels of entering this stretch of canopy. It is said the Elven folk live out here but so do the Orcs, Ogres, Goblins, many others. The Elven folk are led by 'Erster' who is wise but also very guarded so encountering any of his kind is either a blessing of an opportunity to gain his good graces or bad and likely to end in several arrows thunking away into your body long before you hit the forest floor. The Orcs are led by a fiersome General known as 'Auck' yeah that is his name. However some believe the female 'Ekka' is the one that is truly in charge. The Ogre just seem to want to exist without war but they appear to be in conflict with the Orcs. The Goblins aren't really ones for fighting as they are known to be crafty and keeping away from conflict lest it benefit them. The Goblins are led by a female known only as Tellseen and as such she might be willing to trade if the wares are good.
Dancing River Hill Town is the home of the Hobbits/halflings/gnomes/well honestly anyone of not so tall stature. It is a lively place filled with smoking, drinking, fine food, and yes dancing. Obviously it is a place of much passing through and while some seem content to never leave...there are those who dream of leaving or maybe even those who have. The town is peaceful and not really one to breed warriors or those who take up weapons.
Rex City Minescape: This is the city of dwarven ingenuity. If you find yourself here not only is there a vast mine to resource but also some of the finer weapons and armor around. If you wish to mine you have to get permission and that might require a bit of proving yourself to the dwarves. If you have allied yourself with the Elves this might prove tricky but overall there is room for peace between the dwarves and elves.
Antonville Village: A village of a variety of species though commonly known for humans. It isn't too much to look at but it seems to bolster some activity. If you are thinking humble beginnings this might be the place. It is a farming village and perhaps something to take from it is character building. Some dream of a better life and others dream of flexing their muscles to pursue something grander then themselves, fame, fortune, romance, who knows.
((I'll add more throughout the day but everything regarding Telandria will be kept in this one area and my next world will follow in a response. For now I am heading off but I should also be working on some ocs of my own for this which you can find in the other thread.))
