The Ricci's are the family who head the Fantasma Famiglia gang, and have been its sole leaders since it's formation in the thirties. They own almost all importing and exporting business' in the USA and are notorious for their arms deals ; they supply specialized hit-men, associate gangs, and black market carriers as well as gangs abroad and have a monopoly on all weaponry imports. Since Thoman Ricci's death and his son's ascension to the head of the family there's been a rift among the ranks of the Fantasma Famiglia ; some believe Nio Ricci is too young to be their leader, other's believe the right should be given to Thoman's younger brother Dante, then there's the call for reform to find a leader outside the Ricci bloodline for once. There also seem to be whispers lingering of Harlow Ricci, the eldest Ricci, being alive after a decade of being missing and that she's out for blood ... out for her rightful throne.

The Eclectic are a coalition of independent undercover info broker's and trained agents who work closely with the CIA. They sell all their information to the CIA, and the feds for decent payouts. Despite their association with the US government the Eclectic's are not fed's and sell their information for personal gain (profit) rather than 'to do the right thing.' Among their ranks are some of the best undercover criminals, disguise artists, and hit-men you'll ever have the displeasure of meeting. They are in direct competition with the Ricci's, as information on the Fantasma Famiglia currently pays the highest the Ricci's are always on the lookout for undercover Eclectic Agents within their ranks.
