Now, I know what you're thinking. Isn't it too early for Christmas ? Sort of. It's only November 18th, but stories take time to develop and the way I imagine it, I'd like to start early and enjoy it while it lasts. Because the point is for this story to probably come to an end sometime in January and after the festive season is over. I think it makes sense. Or at least, it makes sense in my own, little brain. Anyway, if you're a fan of Christmas and are looking for something relaxed to enjoy during the holidays, you're in the right place !
I'll start with exactly what I'm looking for :

Anyway, if you're a fan of Christmas and are looking for something relaxed to enjoy during the holidays, you're in the right place !
I'll start with exactly what I'm looking for :
- A romantic, festive story. I'm not setting down a specific, thought-out plot because I like discussing with my partner and since this is going to be something festive and happy for both of us, it would be nice if we can both pitch in ideas and come up with something that's not too restrictive and is fun to write, even during the busy season.
- I'm open to both fandom-based and original settings. Fandom-based AU's are always welcome, of course. For example, taking two characters from a fandom like Genshin Impact and tossing them in a more slice of life setting. I know quite a few fandoms and I'm willing to discuss them all, until we reach an agreement. Fandoms I'm NOT interested in are as follow : Marvel, DC, Dragonball ( any version ), Undertale, Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. If the fandom you have in mind is one I'm not familiar with, I will decline because I don't think I can pull off a character from a franchise I've never consumed content from. Some of the fandoms I'm familiar with and write at the moment are Genshin Impact, Harry Potter and Overwatch.
- I'm honestly mostly looking for MxM because that's what I prefer writing most of the times. But I might agree to MxF, if I'm the one writing the female character. Generally speaking MxF as the male makes me uncomfortable and there are very few cases I will agree to write it in. And with very specific people. I'm not very interested in FxF as a dynamic, unless it's Moira x Mercy or D.Va x Moira from Overwatch. Otherwise, it's really not my cup of tea. Please, keep that in mind when approaching me for a story.
- In this case, the focus of the story will be romance and Christmas, but I would like it if smut was available to be written, if it comes up. I'm not planning on pushing the story towards smut, nor will it be the focus of the story. If I had to set a smut to story ratio, it'd be 20/80, more or less. And if it does happen, it'll be the romantic kind. Nothing overly kinky or overly out there to take away from the festive vibe I'm going for.
- Animated faceclaims are highly preferred. It's a lot easier for me to find one I like, when they're drawn. But we can discuss live action ones, if that's a must for you. I will not use AI generated faceclaims ! If you use such in other roleplays, it's your business alone, but I'd rather we used human-made artwork when roleplaying together. This is a personal preference, as an artist and as someone who doesn't like AI in general.
- I'm open to discussing different eras for the story. As in 80's, 90's, 2000's, etc. But it can also be a modern, or a more futuristic setting ( ie. like Overwatch's default universe ). I'll just decline anything heavily sci-fi where there's focus on space, aliens and the like. I also won't do an apocalyptic setting for this roleplay. Some fandoms are easy to adjust to fit this narrative, but if the fandom of preference doesn't work, we can always write an AU where our characters live in a modern, more slice of life universe.
- This story is meant to be relaxed for both of us and simply add to the potential enthusiasm for the arrival of Christmas. As such, I don't expect Novella length responses, but two paragraphs is the minimum I will write. Around 250-300 words is fine. Longer is always welcomed and I will try to match the length of your posts, if not send out more.
- You can use a pre-made OC or we can craft a pair of them for this story specifically.
What you can expect from me :
- Third person, past tense and paragraph style responses. I'm not interested interested in script style.
- Replies around once a week ; more frequently if possible and depending on the length of your responses.
- Light-hearted, festive romance to soothe our souls. While I adore dark elements, this story is meant to be sweet and festive, so I won't do anything overly dark.
- OOC communication. My inbox is always open if you have questions, or if you want to discuss how to move to the next scene, if you want to pitch in new ideas, etc.
I expect, more or less, the same from you. But I won't be upset if you take longer to respond. I know the holidays are busy for everyone, myself included. So if you have family over, or are celebrating IRL, responses can wait. I'd like for this story to start as soon as possible ( ie. sometime during November ), peak during Christmas days ( except THE day of Christmas cause we're all busy ) and probably come to an end sometime in January, unless we decide to continue it because we're enjoying it and if we want to develop the pairing past the festive season, etc. That's an option, but it's not mandatory.
I don't mind supernatural elements added, if you want. Such as Vampires, Elves, Werewolves, Faeries, etc. I do love supernatural and fantasy elements, so those can be implemented as well, if we so decide.
I'm going to attach some faceclaims I'd like to potentially use below and in case any of them catches someone's eye.
Those aren't set in stone ! They're just some ideas I found while browsing pinterest, but you can more or less gauge what kind of male and female characters I usually go for. One female character I would probably enjoy writing is Orihime Inoue from Bleach ( last picture example ), after the events of the manga and when she's 18+ ! This goes for any character that's canon. ALL CHARACTERS WILL BE 18+ AT ALL TIMES. Preferrably, 21+ for my own comfort. I also prefer if my writing partner is 21+. Writer's gender is irrelevant, as long as you can write a male character ( with the exception of the two FxF pairings mentioned ).
