Mephits are commonly assumed to be small, weak devils. This is generally an assumption made by people who have never encountered Mephits, as survivors tend to be rare. These particular devils are generally the size of a young adult human, with frail and battered wings. Their eyes constantly bleed lava and fire, and touching these "tears" can result in significant injuries. While Flame Mephits typically exist as extra-dimensional creatures, they tend to appear on this plane as a result of being summoned. Mephits tend to be common devils to common because of the assumption that they are small and easy to control, but they tend to be very cunning creatures and will, if possible, do their best to ensure that their summoner winds up in an unfortunate situation. They are able to fly for short distances, though they prefer teleportation. They are able to cast quite a few fire-based spells, and tend to smell strongly of sulphur.​ ⠀⠀original artist ⠀​
