Hiro hadn't been able to sleep at all last night. Today was going to be Fridman Day. He had eagerly tossed and turned in his hammock and he had gotten up at first light. "This is the day!" , he said, jumping out of his hammock. He immediately went outside, before rushing back in. It was much too cold to just walk out with just his pajamas. "Mom, Dad! It's Fridman Day!", He shouted. He rushed into their bedroom where mom and dad each where sleeping in their hammocks. He shook both of them awake, "Come on, wake up! Wake up!"

Mom and Dad woke up, rubbing their eyes and smiling at Hiro. "Is it really Fridman Day today?", Dad said, teasing Hiro. Hiro rolled his eyes. "Of course it is. You know that, you know that. Come on, let's go. "

"What right now? You want to see the first one?" , Mom asked him as she got up and stood.

"Yes, of course I want to go to the first one ! Come on !", Hiro pleaded.

The parents took their time, but they were finally wearing fur coats and started out of the house to see the first show.

Every Fridman's day there were going to be a variety of shows at various places. Hiro always liked to go to the one at Hunian park.

As they walked, Hiro saw in amazement as the snow fell all over. He had seen the snow for a few days now of course. But snow on Fridman's Day was somehow more special.

It didn't take very long and they finally arrived to the place. Hiro could see some other people had come to see the show as well as some aliens. He looked around and finally spotted Rackle, his alien Aku friend, with a fish shaped head that was red in color. Hiro left his parents and rushed over to Rackle. "Hey, aren't you excited for the Fridman's show. " He had to ask him.

Rackle sniffled, which Hiro knew meant that he was giggling. "Of course, I am. Who isn't? This is going to be so much fun. " Rackle started bouncing on his two feet and Hiro started doing the same.

Suddenly a hush fell over the audience, and Rackle and Hiro respecfully became quiet as well. In the middle of the park a light had appeared out of seemingly thin air. Hiro knew that the show was about to start then.

"Once upon a time, a long time ago. When we were but insects roaming the plains, there lived the great Fridman who guided us. " There were several people now who also seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. "Remember, how the invisi-wall disappeared last year, and we could see the performers. " Rackle said to him sniffling. Hiro shushed him concentrating on the story.

The actors were wearing some prehistoric clothes - something that could be barely called coats and something called jeans. Hiro had been fascinated by them and had wanted to wear them, but they didn't make them anymore.

The actors were busy fighting each other, when a man appeared and the fighting stopped. "It is to celebrate this man that Fridman's Day is celebrated." Fridman then gave every person a piece of paper and they stopped fighting.

"He thought them how to read and write and be civilized. We all have to thank him. " Then Fridman went on to do his other exploits and Hiro watched on fascinated.

After the show was over, Hiro walked with Rackle. "Let's make a snow donut later. " Rackle said to him. making donuts in the snow was a popular activity. "

"We're going to have so much fun. " Hiro said with a smile.
