I'm currently seeking a story where one or two pairs of characters ( FxF, or FxM, or MxM ) are trying to escape capture, perhaps running from beings much bigger than they are ( Jonathan Swift's "Brobdingnagians" from Gulliver's Travels, ABC television's Land of the Giants, Director René Laloux's Fantastic Planet, etcetera ). The characters might simply be, or be on the road to becoming, friends or there could be romance.
About me? I'm one of the last of the Boomers. Grew up on 60's & 70's music (but hated disco). My television role models are Gomez Addams and Captain Kirk. Read Asimov, Ellison, Heinlein, Moorcock & tons of other authors. Comic books? Check. I remember my first "House of Mystery" comic. I love humor and tall tales. A self-styled "romantic" including writing ( 80% story & 20% smut ). If there's a romance then my preference and experience are largely male with female. My smut style is mostly "vanilla". Some violence can be appropriate to a story, but I'm not a fan of gore.
My target word count for posts is generally between 300 to 600 words, with opening/scene-setting posts probably from 600 to 1,200 words. I can do shorter posts and will accept briefer posts, but I hate doing "all of the work" in a story and seeing my writing partnes attempting to sell me words without much thought.
I like posting at least once a week. That said, I take care of my nearly 98 year old, physically lame, father AND I battle depression. I will try to let you know if I'm having tough times and my responses will be delayed.
I'm doing a little science fiction "world building" at (link) Gas Miners of Venus / Venus Platform One . It's a setting. I imagine a hostile force likely to take over the mining platform, with the characters trying to sabotage the aggressors or escaping to the surface of Venus with the enemy following them down onto the planet. I only have one character moderately described, "Chief Station Executive, Mr. Danyon Miles", but the station has a population over 350 people with various jobs and skills possible.
