Hi there! My name is Sebastian but you can call me by my various usernames, those being SlashedPerfection, SebbySebSeb, and most recently and currently, PlanegeaDM. Im a relatively experienced roleplayer, ive been doing it on and off for 14 years or so now. I write all sorts of things, but my biggest weaknesses are realism and 'weak' characters, im just poor at writing it while making it interesting.

I tend to write at least a few paragraphs, I like to give detail and inner monologues and thoughts, but I dont actually know an average word count. I tend to check on posting multiple times a day, even if im working or otherwise busy. I can almost always post at least once a day.

The idea for this is is pretty generic overall, but I think the character i'd be playing and the genre change makes it interesting so im hoping someone else does too. Doctor Who can be summed up as an alien with an extreme level of technology helps protect the Earth from other aliens with advanced technologies who want to do various bad things with the planet and its people. That being said, I've had an OC for a while now that I recently realized is quite perfect for a high-magic genre swap of the concept.

One of my original OC's was an alien from a planet 300,000 light years away from Earth, and it turns out not only is magic real but their species studies it almost religiously. Due to a quirk of nature, they experience a unique obstacle to life, that of a very long lived continuous explosion in the form of a complex four star system that feeds off itself. This made the species focus on advancements that could solve this issue. My character, Jun, long u, failed an experiment that left him with what he calls 'the coating'. A very thin but impossibly strong layered shell of graphene that encases his entire body and drastically limits his ability to gather his energy outside of his body, which is necessary to perform the near-limitless magics hes learned. Due to this, he was sent to Earth to learn a way of breaking his coating, since he basically became useless. In that quest, hes spent centuries learning from nearly every magical race, monster, and person he could find. Very few things concentrate enough power to do the job, but each time he gets close to his goal, he ends up needing to use whatever he has to help someone nearby.

The RP I propose is that I would be playing Jun as a sort of Doctor Who-esque character, who goes around solving problems and preventing disasters without expecting any praise or fame or ay sort of reward. Im looking for someone to play a companion character, and to help me come up with plots for individual 'adventures'. They would need some abilities or powers of their own in order to not be completely 'useless', even if its just a human who can understand magic really well or something or other. Im thinking that we both agree on a few adventure lines and create problems for our characters to solve. We make at least one guaranteed solution, but leave it open to a few other ideas, and then let the characters go at it. For example, if we wanted to do a zombie adventure, we could say that magical zombies need to be either destroyed individually, or their source needs to be destroyed. The source would have a few things that would work to destroy it, and a certain power level, and the characters would need to come up with solutions that fit those criteria, but without that knowledge themselves.

To help with the idea that Jun can theoretically do whatever he wants because he 'knows all the spells', I have incorporated two rules into how I run him in rp's. Number one is that he has a fallible memory, often forgetting spells and abilities that he hasnt used in a long time so he ends up with a set of things he does as his common go to abilities and takes effort to branch out from those. Number two is that hes technically a scientist, and so if I cant come up with a way to explain it using infinite energy, negative energy, or exotic materials (fantasy short-hand for magical science basically), then he cant perform it. I cant conceive of a way for him to generate new mass using exotic energies, since that energy still needs to come from somewhere. But, he can teleport mass as long as he sends an equal amount back to where he grabbed it from, using selective wormholes and the like. So it limits what he can do based on my ability to solve problems using the most extreme and complex ideas in physics, which is a LOT more limiting than it sounds at first.

I am open to a romance developing between Jun and the companion, however he is straight leaning pretty heavily, so keep that in mind if thats what youre hoping for.

I think thats as much as is necessary to figure out if this type of RP would be for you or not, but if you have any questions dont be afraid to ask!
