★☆☆☆☆ The Wizard's Tower
The tower itself is pretty nice, but the wizard, Finethir Shinebright, or it might be Brightshine, is really bad news. His name is an oxymoron to himself because if anything he's shady! You should try to avoid him if you can, but if you can't, he actually makes a pretty great breakfast spread. One of the best I've ever had. However, he has been known to turn people into animals, among other evil things, so go for the food at your own risk. One good thing did come from running into this guy, though, which is that I met all of my new friends. So if I could thank him for anything it would be that, but he wouldn't deserve it!
★★★★★ The Sign of the Silver Sword
If you're ever in Berdusk you HAVE to stay here!!! The rooms are so warm and cozy. For a long time I used to just sleep on the ground, but the beds here are amazing. And the cook, Brunhilda, makes the best food ever. One day while I was there she made stewed dragon meat that she slow cooked for the WHOLE day. It really helped too, because a lot of us had drank some dwarven spices that made us, well… Spicy! And the stew really calmed me down. Our group found ourselves at this inn more than once, as we went back and forth between here and a couple of other towns, and it always offered us comfort. We were a little bit on trial one of the times but that's a different story, and the inn has always welcomed us no matter what!
★★★★☆ The Jovial Juggler Inn
This is a great place to rest your head in Beregost. While I was in town there was a festival, so I really spent more time outside than I did at the inn. This fae guy stole some of our friends and we had to get them back with tickets, but we got to play carnival games to earn them so it was actually a lot of fun! Maybe not for my friends who got captured, but we saved them in the end. This is about the inn though, and you should stay if you're ever in town. Not only did it offer a comfortable place to sleep, but the name is so much fun to say!
★★★☆☆ Candlekeep
Wow!! I have never seen a bigger library. Me and my friends would always go to the one in Berdusk but compared to this, that one is tiny. We were able to stay for a tenday, and everyone here who assisted was very helpful in getting information that my friends needed! One of my friends taught one the attendants how to play Dragonchess, and my other friend found out some important stuff she needed to know about a curse. The library and the rooms were well decorated, but it was a bit chilly inside for my liking, and it could definitely use some color to brighten up the place a bit.
★★★★☆ The Jaded Unicorn
There are plenty of inns to stay at in Scornubel, but the Jaded Unicorn stood out to me right away, for the simple fact that I like unicorns. I was glad to have trusted my gut because this inn was incredible! It's owned by a fire genasi, so you already know that it's warm and inviting here, but the best part about this inn is the rooms, which each have a special and unique theme to them. While I was staying here, I got a space themed room, and the walls and ceiling were filled with beautiful sparkling stars. If that doesn't convince you to stay, I don't know what will! Also while we were in town we met our new friend Ingram! He is a very tall goliath and he got a fae themed room but he was too big for the bed, so if I had to make a suggestion it would be inclusive bed sizes!
★★★★★ The Pampered Traveler
There are too many inns to choose from in Waterdeep, but I'm glad my friends found this one. Inside is cozy and decorated a lot like a library, which is nice because libraries have been very useful to us on our travels so far. The rooms are large, warm, and lush, with large canopy beds and plush mattresses. Staying at so many inns has begun to spoil me, but this one might outdo itself. I like that the cozy atmosphere of this place helps to drown out the busy outside streets of the city, which is comforting since I don't like big crowds. However, we had quite a lot to do in Waterdeep and were even invited to a very fancy flower Gala. When we got back to the inn my friend Carmina put the pamper in Pampered Traveler and we had a spa night! I think I like it in Waterdeep more than I had anticipated, and the inn has definitely aided in my comfort here. If I ever find myself back in the city, I'm sure I'll find myself back here too.
★★★★★ Under the Faerûnian Stars
While we stay at a lot of nice inns on our travels, sometimes we have to do some camping in between our stays, and to me there's nothing better! I grew up in the forest, so being outside makes me feel the most at home. I never traveled too far away from where I grew up in the Dalelands, but now that I finally have, I've opened my eyes up to the beauty of the land outside of the forest. No matter the kind of day I've had, falling asleep under the stars is always when I get my best rest. We've had some fun times camping, too! One time we camped near a fae circle, and when we woke up everyone had crazy things happening to them. All of our rations turned colorful and now have strange effects if eaten, too. You never know what might happen on your travels! So if you're ever without a place to stay for the night, embrace the outdoors and relax under the night sky, you might like it more than you realize!
