Nomad Greetings, From the Underdark

Greetings! I have just arrived here today, and traveled a fairly short distance from Black Dahlia Roleplaying (and many other forums over the years).

I happened upon roleplaying and story-craft many many moons ago, and now come and go as life allows.

In real life, I am a writer by trade, but unfortunately, the world of writing for the purposes of marketing has become dominated by AI. In fact, it's required by my work to utilize it. I've slowly come to the realization, while fighting the small voice of denial that lives inside of me, that my daily use of AI in work has severely deteriorated my ability write and create - skills that I have cultivated and cherished for a long time.

Even as I write this, I find it challenging, but that is why I'm here - to re-cultivate a skill that brings me so much joy and allows me to explore my creative capabilities.

I tend to enjoy writing high fantasy most, but sometimes dabble in the real world...or at least an altered version of it. I love vampires and all things fantasy, but I am always open to trying new things. The reason why I say "Underdark" in the subject of this post is because I also tend to enjoy darker themes, and typically stray from playing light or bubbly characters (although these are fun to play as side characters at times.)

No, I don't know how to do any fancy code to make my posts look cool, but words have always been my greatest tool, and I am here to wield them in the best of ways.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there!

However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! Next, I've created A Sanctum Tour to help find a lot of cool places on site! There's plenty to do while waiting on replies or to give yourself a break every now and then! Welcome to the Sanctum! I, too, used to write on Black Dahlia and was saddened to hear about the site's closure. We hope that you make the Sanctum your new writing home.
