Greetings, salutations, good day, good evening, and hello. There are quite a number of ways to break the silence, and since I'm rather generous, and don't have a particular phrase I'm leaning towards at the moment, I'll allow whoever is reading this to decide (It also has the added benefit of allowing me to side step the harrowing decision of how to start this out, but that's besides the point). The choosing of a turn of phrase aside, I'm Chaos, Quiet Chaos to be exact. Pleased to make any of your charming acquaintances. Feel free to call me anything that strikes your fancy, really. Though a bit of thoughtfulness is to be advised, as I am want, and truly obligated, to respond with a match of...shall we say, tone and purpose.

Fear not, of course, for that was simply a warning of my leanings toward banter.

A bit about myself.... hmm... Well actually, it's best not to clog up the thread with all those details. If you do happen to interact with me, I'm sure things will come to light. Best to show not tell in times such as these. I'll just drop an outline of interests, expectations and such, for the sake of efficiency.

Interests: (Practically anything and everything to be honest. Minus straight smut.)
  • Genres: Action, adventure, fantasy, science fiction, horror, intrigue, paranormal, romance (usually less of a major focus or at least paired equally with another genre), etc
  • Universe types: Original, books, TV shows, movies, etc
  • Duration: Any, it varies
Expectations/ Pet Peeves:
  • TXT Language:
Please Do Not contact me for an RP if you plan on spending the duration of it flinging TXT language at me that I'll have to excavate the internet to find explanations for. I can tolerate it, at best, when in casual communication, but in this it will only lead to a very malnourished RP, and a terrible writing environment.
  • Effort:
Whatever Effort my partner puts into the RP will be matched and vice versa. I can get fairly in depth with universes and characters, and quite enamored of details. I understand that is not some peoples 'thing'. Perfectly fine! Just don't expect me to be playing puppeteer of seven fully fleshed out characters to your one character skeleton, or to go about world building with species, cultures, religions, and governments for your character to have a sandbox to frolic in.
  • Communication:
This is key, to not only building an RP but for keeping a healthy RP partnership, I find. Talk about things. RP no longer interesting? Do tell! Wanting to go a different direction? Let's discuss. We'll waste everyone's time if we just keep head ducking, and beating around the bush.
Anyways, hopefully that introduction wasn't atrocious. If it left a mildly unpleasant taste in your mouth, have a free cupcake and take solace in the fact that you'll never have to read it again (Imagination required. Flavors limited).

Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the Sanctum, Quiet Chaos.

Any relationship to Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos and god with a thousand forms?

Nice intro! I like the openness combined with the request for, "let's work together on this."

I'll take cupcake anyway: Manges to munch on a maple melange muffin. Mmmmhhhh.

Welcome wonderful writer!

Well, as a matter of fact, I may or may not be the ill begotten, illegitimate spawn of said Outer God and a particularly dedicated, infinitely twisted follower of his during the chaotic cusp of the century.... is what I would say if I didn't fear what said entity could and would do to any foolish enough to go swanning around in such a masquerade.

So no. No relation. That does remind me that I need to read more of H.P. Lovecraft's work, and to draw up some more ideas for the horror genre though. It's such a great platform for twisting words about.

Anyways, many thanks for the welcome Baxter Peters. It was truly appreciated!

Welcome aboard.

What would you say are your earliest influences on your roleplaying and writing?

Thank you ever so much for both the compliment and the warm welcome, Guidance.

Take as many pastries as you'd like, the only limit is your own mind and perhaps the elasticity of your stomach. I suppose I should have thought to offer some to those who enjoyed my post as well, but I'm glad that my slip in hospitality didn't impede you any! Have another maple melange muffin on the house.

Hello, and welcome to our community!
Brilliant introduction, if I must say! I do hope you have some wonderful RP's ahead of you! Best of luck!

I am thrilled you enjoyed the introduction, Evelyn Eleanor. Absolutely thrilled, truly. There are so many ways one can take such a task, I'm glad to see the path I chose wasn't leading me to a perilous cliff of disappointment.

Thank you very much for the welcome, and I do wish you a future of wonderful RP's as well!

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome, RPM. It's most assuredly appreciated.

Earliest influences are a bit hard to pinpoint for me.

I started dabbling in creative writing quite young, and there was a time period of a few years where I was reading close to 800 books a year. So, fairly difficult to recall authors and such. The Harry Potter series was a big influence on my creative writing, as it first started me in on such things. Other than that, I can't particularly remember anything that stands out at the moment. Which is interesting as I tend to lean towards horror (in certain aspects), and cannot really recall having a horror series I latched onto as an influence.

In terms of RP influence... I sort of fell into this realm (with a helpful shove from my friend) and learned through participating in a few sites. Of course, I'm still learning and adapting quite rapidly. For the arena of creative writing, RPing is one of the newer forms that I've taken up.
