Hey y'all! I know it's coming up and everyone is gearing up for the end of the year holidays, and which one is my favorite? Halloween! But I love fall/autumn as well. Anyways!

Post decor ideas here! Stuff that's diy! Like recipes for Halloween!
I'll start!

Ghost/spectres!

You'll need:
Balloons
Cheese cloth or some other material that is light
A Bowl
Glue
Water
String

Instructions!

Blow up however many balloons you want, each balloon will make a ghost c:

Mix in the bowl water and glue. You want to do 2 parts glue to 1 part water. You just want a thinner glue consistency. OR alternatively, buy 3M spray glue you just need to tie a string to the balloon and thread the string through the middle of the cloth (yes you can cut a small hole for it if needed)
Then dunk the fabric/balloon in the glue mixture or hold out portions of the fabric and spray glue it. Put in an area to dry, make sure you have newspaper underneath to catch any falling glue drops!

Once dry, pop the balloon and you have a ghoulish piece of stiff fabric. Decorate with eyes or glow in the dark spray paint, and you can use tgread to hang them OR push a tomato cage underneath it and have them propped in your yard!

I'm not the best craftsman this side of my neighborhood, but there's two things I've done that I'd like to share.

If you'd like to make a Jack-o-lantern head in a pumpkin, a very simple trick can add a little flair to it. Steps are as follows:

  • Carve the mouth.
  • Carve one eye.
  • Stick your carving knife in where you'd cut the hole for the second eye, but do not move it once it's in. Instead, leave the knife in, and put on some red paint to make a trickling trail downwards. Poor guy.

If you have a front porch, or anywhere near your front door for a larger humanoid decoration, consider the following:

  • Find a chair to hold your candy bucket.
  • Purchase a costume that does not show any skin, such as a zombie, a grim reaper, etc.
  • Wear said costume while sitting incredibly still, holding the candy bucket in your hands, appearing as a decorative stand.
  • Make a sudden motion at anyone who tries to snatch more than one, but do not traumatize small children.
