This is a version of the HP universe where Hogwarts does have university years.
MC is studying potions, she and another student (YC) are staying late after class to finish up projects for class. Given both of their tendencies for excellent grades and abiding by rules, their professor doesn't mind leaving them unattended in the potions lab. Essentially these two are seen as model students.
MC is a beautiful young half blood witch of twenty years old, she is a Hufflepuff and is well liked by her house members. She is very kind and thoughtful, but she is no doormat either, she is not afraid to stand up for herself or others. She is very witty and can be kind of sarcastic to certain offending individuals.
YC would a Ravenclaw (or Slytherin, if you want) with a very cool and chilly stoic demeanor, he is dedicated to his studies and is regarded throughout Hogwarts 'The Ravenclaw Ice Prince'.
If you understand the term, he would definitely be in the Tsundere category. If not, google can explain it easily.
The Potion MC is brewing is supposed to be a magical birth control that you only need to take a sip of once a month… however, what she doesn't know is that during class… a male Hufflepuff that desires her (who she rebuffed) spiked her potion with a lust potion when no one was looking… the effects were not supposed to kick in until after she was back at the Hufflepuff university student dorms, where he intended to be waiting for her outside her door, expecting her to jump his bones… but the idiot put way too much in and she wound up jumping YC instead…
MC tests the potion to ensure the taste of cotton candy was there as intended… she is then overcome with lust and seduces YC…
After they have sex and part ways, MC wakes up the morning after feeling completely free of the effects of the lust potion and looks for YC to ask him to pretend it never happened…
Although… YC doesn't agree to this. She awoke something in him that night and now, he wants her to agree to be his girlfriend or he will tell everyone he can that she seduced him in the potion lab. Spiked potion or not, MC knows this could damage her reputation, so she helplessly agrees.
What she isn't prepared for is when he starts showing her off to his snooty intellect Ravenclaw friends and then bullies her to go with him to his family home on break to have dinner with his uppercrust intellectual pureblood family… where he introduces her not as his girlfriend… but as his fiance?! Whaaaat?!
My partner and I can discuss where to go further, but I don't want anything here altered or taken away, this is the stuff I really want to get out of the story for myself.
