Hello! *tap tap* Is this thing on?
I'm Chaotic Neutral (in alignment and name), although CN or Chaotic is probably easier to type, and I'm a 21-year-old student who enjoys the rain, swords, and coding. I'm not totally sure what to write here, so I'll outline some of the things I write, which is mostly confined to urban and high fantasy. I also dabble in D&D but with emphasis on 'dabble' because I've played one campaign and it was via Zoom - but I'd love to play more! I occasionally write fanfiction too, but I don't think I've written any proper fanfiction since I was 16, and that was... not a good story. I tend to focus more on my own original works these days. In terms of actual structure and technique, I am very, very awkward at writing romance and anything ~beyond~ that, although I am... capable of it, I suppose. My characters typically have a bleak sense of humour, too, so I tend to use that to deflect in my writing. I have yet to work out whether that's me or my characters though, so stay tuned.
I've been telling stories since before I was able to write them down (or so my parents allege) and have always adored creating new worlds - world-building and character design is my speciality, while the plot is where I sadly find myself lacking. I found this site by chance and thought it might be a good opportunity to work on it. I'm currently working on an urban fantasy novel based in the city I study in, with Spellcasters, Wulvers, Vampires, and Fae galore! Also in the background, I have a magic college-esque academy where all of my characters hate one another - but it's still good fun!
My characters are typically varied in nature and energy, from the chipper magical tailor to the tired, vampire mum friend to the sulky, self-obsessed fae, but I love to wander around and create new characters, too! Looking forward to writing with some of you.
