despite my account name you guys can call me Finn. Not sure what the average age or the age range here is but I think with my 32 years I am quite comfortably above your minimum required age.
I used to role-play a lot when I was younger. From around sixteen until about my mid to late twenties. I guess it all started to go wrong when I began making up my own little fantasy worlds, as kids do. After it went further and got to doodling the spaceships or armor I thought up in my head I then also started writing information about them down. At some point I must have written my first short story (as in it was really short … and terrible).
Once I had been granted access to a computer of my own and the internet I properly got into forum rp. I have played everything from sci-fi to fantasy, bot high and low low, modern, historical and futuristic. Give me a LotR setting or a Star Wars setting, I'll enjoy both.
At some point however I just could not bear the forum drama any more. That drove me away from forum role-playing for a while. I've been looking to start rp again on and of for the last year or so. In the meantime I mostly just wrote by myself every now and then when the mood struck me and the muse was kind. Since I could not decide on either a forum or a setting and so far have basically just been looking at different RP forums and seeing if any of the settings speak to me.
I have decided now, that I'd just try to jump back into it and after a bit of googling found your forum and the fact that you are 18+ got my approval right away. Not that I necessarily want to rp mature content, I've never actually done that before. Come to think of it I have always stayed away from that during my time rping. I guess I just enjoy a more mature crowd to write and make up stories with.
