I'll say, having a forum instead of just an introduction thread is uncommon. But I'll play.

I go by Crijns, and if you are wondering whether I am stupid: that is not my actual name. I took the pen name years back for forum roleplaying, which is the only kind I've even done. Not a great amount, I mostly did it on forums of other games. This is the first time I've entered a place dedicated to it. I hope to sharpen my skills over time. I mainly did sword-n-sorcery and other adventure stuff, though I never played 'structured' forms like real D&D systems. I've played magic users, demons and spirits, superpowered individuals, men and women and a surprising amount in between, as long as I find it interesting to do long-term.

As a non-native speaker, my English is... decent, but not great. Mostly a limited vocabulary, I doubt it'll be actually cringe-inducing. Still, I like to think I take corrections well.

I'll not hold it against anyone who prefers to stay away from beginners, but I hope to gain more skill as I go. I'll take some time to go through the writing resources, then find a place to start. Hope to see you again.

Hello Crijns, Welcome to I.S., I'm not sure if your user name has a different meaning in your native language but here there is no reason to assume it meant you were stupid. I don't think anyone would make that assumption or leap. It's very cool you've decided to start writing. All of this can be a bit overwhelming and my advice or recommendation would be to read some of the stories currently on the forums so you can get a better grasp on how two people interact with one another. It's what I did. I wish you the best and hope you find the stories you are looking for, happy writing.
