hi there! brand new to the site. just a quick roundup about me:
i've been writing/roleplaying for ~15 years now. i really love it as a creative outlet and as an opportunity to make new friends. i'm excited to be here!
historically, my "style" of writing seems to be a bit different than most play-by-post RPs and sites. i primarily have experience with real-time roleplay (i.e. chats & AIM), as a co-author, and with livejournal roleplays (you know the sort--where you manned one or several journals for your character(s) to participate a community game). i'm a little bit intimidated by the play-by-post style, all told! that doesn't mean i won't try it; just putting it out there as a head's up. if anyone is down for something that integrates messenger-based RPs with longer form writing, i'd be super excited! (also, to be on the safe side of the rules--if you are down for anything involving messengers, let's work it out via email? that way no one's in violation of the rules.)
as to what i write: i'm a big fan of fantasy (of any sort) , sci-fi, and slipstream stuff. not so wild about slice-of-life. i really like worldbuilding so if that's your thing, holler at me. i usually write my characters as a function of the world i'm working in, so i don't have any OCs on deck as it were. i prefer to write lgbt characters, and i'm not really wild about plots that center on coercion or abuse.
re: my lack of capitalization--i promise, if we're Really Writing, i can punctuate and capitalize as necessary.
