Hi there, I'm Lantearia, but most people call me Lani, or Lan. I used to roleplay quite often, but, due to health deterioration, friend group issues, time management mismanagement, life troubles, and a whole host of other things, I gave up on the passion. Gaming was easier, it was a set story, a set goal, a quick dopamine rush, but my love of writing never quite left me. But, I said to myself, I doubt there are any forums left. It's been a decade.

Yet here I am, a lowly gamer, new to the forum. My favorite genre are slice of life, drama, fantasy, romance, and college/workplace. I struggle with battle scenes, so I'm group role plays with combat situations, I usually play long ranged fighters, or healers/medics (ironically, classes I often play in games.)

Fair warning, I do have aphantasia. This does affect my writing a bit, but I do try to be as descriptive as I can, so I don't get lost myself, and try to focus on emotion, rather than surroundings, since I can feel those, when I can't "see" the scene.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there! However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure! I'm on NA myself. Aether, to be specific, which is under a state of eternal congestion. I do run my venue with an alt on Dynamis, however. Mainly BECAUSE of the congestion issue.
