when you're here... you're here.
axa pairings ⏤ multi-genre ⏤ 25+ muns preferred
[ character sheets ]
about mun
i'm olive (or oli) ⏤ 33, they/them, AuDHD & genderfluid queer gremlin. i can't promise you unlimited breadsticks, but i can always promise borderline incoherent ramblings and excessive use of the exclamation point! lover of the oxford comma and em dashes. i have three cats, hate the cold, and always counting down the days until next halloween! love to read and horror is my favorite genre ⏤ always down to talk recommendations. i will rewatch the same 3-4 shows multiple times before i even think about watching anything new, with taskmaster and psych being the most re-watched of the bunch. i do enjoy chatting ooc about various things or just gushing about our plot(s)/characters and headcanons and the like. i do have chronic pain, so it's very normal for me to not be active for a few days at a time!

writing style

third person only! generally default to past tense, but do love present tense as well ⏤ so if that's your preference, i'm totally down! i like to describe my writing as lazy lit ⏤ quality over quantity always. i don't force myself to stick to a specific word count or match a partner's length, and i don't ask partners to either! aka my reply length will fluctuate throughout the rp and it's totally cool if yours does the same. depending on my health, and how work goes day-to-day, i'm sometimes able to manage ic replies in the evenings during the week. most of the time ic replies, and any potential for some back-and-forth, will come on the weekends! i do my best to still engage in ooc things on the weeknights i can't do ic replies.

content preferences
smut friendly, but never a requirement! always open to fade-to-black or keeping everything entirely pg in the romance department if that's your comfort zone. in terms of smut, i'm generally fine with anything from 80/20 to 60/40 plot-to-smut ratio, but that's open to discussion! not the biggest fan of pwp or smut for smut's sake. language-wise, i'm totally fine with swearing and colorful language with the exception of slurs. when it comes to violence and gore, i'm generally open to these themes as long as the descriptions aren't too graphic. going by l-s-v ratings i'm probably 3-3-2. genre-wise, i love real life and speculative themes, fantasy, supernatural, and sci-fi (generally in that order). i'm open to other genres but will likely need someone to pitch a really good plot. the only genres i'm not a fan of are zombies, and historical plots that don't have speculative or fantasy elements.

character & partner preferences
all of my characters are lgbtqia+! i write characters of all genders and sexualities (including aspec!!), but my characters will never be both cis and het. i also love to write opposite of characters of all genders and sexualities! also adore any opportunity to write as or against neurodivergent characters as well as disabled characters. i am most comfortable writing with muns who are also in their 30s, but i'm comfortable writing with muns who are 25+. i also prefer to write as and against characters who are 30+, but that's not a requirement! prefer real fc’s or aesthetics + descriptions for characters. high preference for muns who enjoy talking ooc, especially about plots/ships. i also ask that you be direct with me to communicate wants/needs because otherwise i will miss things! (e.g. if we're plotting, unless one of us specifically says something about starting a thread, i'm going to assume we still need/want to plot; this also includes if you want to wrap up or fade out of a scene and transition to the next)

meat & potatoes
if you made it this far, hopefully you'll see something that catches your eye! below is a semi-organized collection of plot ideas and inspiration. definitely not limited to anything on these lists ⏤ i prefer collaboration with plots so it feels like an our plot and not a my plot, etc. so if you're itching for something that's not listed anywhere here, pitch away!

not quite cravings but not... not cravings?
watched joe scott's video about what if the earth had rings? (where he pretty much just reads off of the livescience article by charles q. choi) and i think it would make for a few pretty interesting plots. there are theories about the impact the rings would have on weather, etc. what i found most compelling plot-wise is that in certain areas, the rings would block out the sun for significant portions of time during winter months, which would make the winters pretty harsh/brutal. another aspect/theory i found interesting (but also slightly exaggerating things) would be if the rings started breaking apart/"collapsed" and became a giant meteor shower. opens it up to exploring potential underground/shelter societies or decades/generations later when people are attempting to rebuild?
cliche trash plot inspired by heated rivalry. i have not watched it but all the posts on tumblr keep reminding me that we simply do not have enough wlw content. so really just looking for enemies to lovers but probably with figure skating or ballet or something of the like.

also obsessed with dystopian scenarios where one character is trapped within the society, are fed the lie that there's nothing beyond their city, etc. they could be part of a rebellion group or just a regular civilian just trying to survive. they stumble upon an old radio and fiddle around with it and are surprised to hear a voice coming through & are even more surprised to find the other person lives outside the city. and then you know, something something, waxing poetic about fantasies of life outside the walls, finding comfort in the voice of someone they're convinced they'll never meet, etc etc.

also thoroughly enjoy plots centered around authors who are at the center of an investigation. aka a crime/thriller author's work is being recreated in real life, so naturally they are the prime suspect. doesn't necessarily have to be super dark and graphic but has the potential. sprinkle in the potential for a slow spiral and the author essentially becoming the charlie kelly conspiracy meme & the paranoia that follows. generally prefer that the other character is a private eye or friend of the author or someone connected to the case outside of law enforcement. lots of room to do lots of different things
