Hey folks,
Excited to get to writing with y'all. The winter weather is starting to set in and that means more time inside. More time inside means more time to spend on creative outlets.
A quick bit about me. I'm 37 or 38 years old. I'd have to sit down an do the math to be sure. I come from more of a fantasy roleplay background with years under my belt as a DM. I'm comfortable with most any genre and trend towards lighthearted writing with a fair bit of atmosphere.

Question for the reader:
In the past, I've noticed most RPs I've been a part of have faded in the early stages due to rules around dialogue. Most of the time the rule is something like "All post must have 3 paragraphs or more." This has led to character introductions turning into...
'Exposition, random scene detail, character shifts uncomfortably, "what's your name?"
only to be followed with the same format....
"Exposition, character internal monolog, touches random scene detail, "Chet."
As I'm sure you've aware, this can lead to 50 posts for a fairly run of the mill introductions and systemic crib death of most interesting RPs I've seen. Apologies for my rant, but, dear reader, how have you handled this in the past?
