Sooo, I've been very interested in doing a "circus/freakshow"-esqe type story for a bit. No real plot in involved yet, per say. I know I want it to be the old-fashioned ones. You know, dancing bears and elephants on a train, so on and so on.
My character is gonna be a fire-breather/exotic dancer who's impervious to flames. Won't so much as singe. But yeah, that's as far as I got.

I'll likely add more to this thread as time goes on, or borrow from my writing prompts list, so feel free to check back from time to time!

So, I have a character...she's old. Like, my very first RP character EVER. I was...14-ish, I think...young, stupid, naive, yadda yadda. My handle on that site (Dream Moods, for those interested) was icephoenix (fuzzypurpledragon much later on, but I digress).
So, that was my character. A phoenix who controlled ice. And that was as far as I ever got.

Would anyone be interested in helping me develop her character a bit? All I have atm is a name. It's Rime.

So, I've got two angel characters to choose from. One is a female human vessel with an Angel's soul, the other is a male Assassin angel. Both are Malakim, or warrior angels (I like using 'In Nomine' as a guide).

LYALL/LETO
The female has been through many stories, and not one person has ever finished. She's a hard nut to crack, and isn't a very...well, she's my serious, focused side. She'll joke or whatever, but most of the time, it'll be dry humour or unintentional. But she's quite caring and has a strong sense of what justice should be. She'll be the first to stand up to a bully. Also, though she hides it well, she's a bit of a lonley individual.

The angel within is a bit of a bitch...okay, a LOT of a bitch, and in general projects an imperious irritation with anyone but Lyall. Be wary around her. She's got a slight temper when challenged.

I'd like to have someone playful and silly to balance her out a bit and gently pry her from her shell. For her, you will need copious amounts of perserverance and patience.

EDMUND
The other is a male Assassin, and I haven't worked with him in quite a long time. He's another Dream Moods character that I recently stumbled back across. He's snarky, a bit arrogant, and a hothead. He's the best there is, and he KNOWS it. He's disgusted by humans, and thinks most angels beneath him as well. He's a smoker, and loves a good scotch. This guy toes the line of damnation every day and doesn't give a rat's rear end.

I think a demon/ess would work well here, but as I've never used him in a RP setting, we'll have to see.

I've been toying with the idea of a half-werewolf character (half-changed, that is). All the benefits, and the drawbacks, without the actual change. I'm feeling a hunter character would go best with her.

As always, smut is on the table, but not required, and I would prefer the focus is on the actual story and letting the relationship develop organically.

Got a pair of characters that I really want to use in a world that's very... Treasure Planet-esque. Don't know why, just the aesthetic I'm going for. Though Winnie could be in any fantasy/steampunk setting, I suppose. Both a loosely DnD based, and I'll be using some of the terms for convenience.

HOWEVER, there will be absolutely NO chance for smut if you decide to join up. My characters are both Mousefolk, though Winnie is closer to an actual mouse. So smut (and romance, for that matter) is officially off the table. Sorry if that twists anyone's knickers. Violence is a-okay, and can be fairly graphic. I certainly won't hold back.

So, without further ado, meet my two characters:

Name: Gwendolyn "Winnie" Longtail
Fur Color: Pale Grey
Eye Color: Black
Height: 7 inches
Class: Softpaw (Artificer and mild magic user)

Grew up in a Meadowguard family, but was always more the studious sort. She was always fascinated by BigFolk (humans, elves, etc, etc) and their incredible ability to create machines and do magic. Her colony, though, absolutely forbids any interaction with any of the larger races. She's a young mouse with a big attitude, and a thick, almost Brooklyn-ese accent. Her home is a port city, so she sees lots of different races pass through every day.

And now the one that will have to stick to a Treasure Planet or traditional sailing/steampunk setting, and a proper Mouseling:

Name: Arwin Saltwind
Occupation: Privateer (first mate)
Fur Color: Brown with a cream coloured belly
Eye Color: Black
Height: 12 inches
Weight: 24 pounds

Distinguishing Features:
Scar that splits her right ear nearly in two lengthwise
Gold wire stitched through lower edge of left ear, sporting gemstone shards (quartz, hematite, carnelian, topaz, and opal)
Missing tapered tip of her tail
Single gold chain around her neck that boasts a large turquoise medallion that has mild magical properties that increase her vocal volume. Also rumoured to turn pale before danger approaches, but none can confirm this.

Outfit:
Specially made tri-corner hat that accommodates her ears
Navy blue vest
Black Pants
Leather belt sporting various vials and bottles
Scabbard belt with dagger (small sword for her size) and sling

Proficiencies:
Dagger
Sling

As a former Softpaw alchemist, she is responsible for creating the various elixirs and potions used by the crew.

Arwin has an attitude considerably bigger than her small stature. She can be temperamental, loud, and bloodthirsty in a fight. She rules the decks with a firm, clever paw, leaving the captain free for more important duties. Most crewmen who don't know better will disobey her once before falling in line after a swift punishment.
Being a Mouseling means she can go fairly unnoticed as she scampers to and fro above and below decks during her duties. So it is advised to mind your tongue about the captain, ship, or her. Her response might be just yelling, or she might challenge the offender to a fight.
Her smaller size and speed make her hard to hit in a fight. Her signature move in physical combat is to slice the Achilles' tendon of her opponent, following it up with a killing blow to the jugular.
For this reason, it is beneficial to the crew to tie kerchiefs of the ship's colors around their ankles. In the confusion of a boarding party, this detail could mean the difference between returning with plunder, or meeting Davy Jones.
Arwin can also hang back, using her sling to launch bottles full of explosive, toxic, or corrosive potions across enemy decks.

New idea, but might be difficult to implement without the right person:

Young woman who is bed-ridden due to being sick most of her life (think Collin from Secret Garden, only not as spoiled), but dreams vividly about meeting a young man and going on adventures with him. Maybe have her counterpart be a telepath or something? Maybe trying to figure out where she is, even though she's never been outside of her room, so they can meet in person?

Did that make sense?
