Seraphina is a kind hearted, compassionate and gentle young woman, she has an ethereal otherworldly grace about her in the way she speaks or moves… simply being near her would make an individual wonder how it's possible that this woman was not some kind of goddess or deity.
Despite her young age of 24, Seraphina has a very mature and wise way of thinking and approaching most situations, she is very level headed, patient and leads Nevaeh with the warmth, intelligence, dignity and love that her parents did before her.
At the same time, beneath all that… Seraphina struggles with uncertainty and fear about what might befall her people if she should fail to continue holding the forces of Tenreth at bay, she fears that her power alone may not be enough to push back the attack attempts from Emperor Dorien and his ever growing powers borrowed from the void…

Leadership Seraphina holds all the lessons from her late parents close to her heart, remembering how they led the people with devotion and loyalty, vowing herself to do the same. The examples of her devoted bodyguards have also held tremendous weight in helping to shape the young woman into the beloved empress she is today.
Wisdom Seraphina has always been presented with excellent examples in her mother and father, but to her own credit, she has always had a deep sense within her own heart of right and wrong, the importance of thinking about the decisions one makes carefully before carelessly leaping and the consequences the people she loves most can suffer from making reckless moves.
Going deeper, Seraphina has an understanding of the heart beyond her young years, her kindness and compassion make her an ideal listener and a solid source for guidance or reassurance in matters of the emotional and in times when one might be doubting themselves, losing resolve or feeling hope dwindling away.

For times of self defense, Seraphina may manifest a temporary shield of light around her to protect herself from harm, though the duration of the shield depends heavily upon the beating it is taking.

The Crystal Rod By birthright, Seraphina possesses the ability to command the power of The Crystal Rod. This rod is a relic gifted from the gods of light with the power to repel and destroy evil, entrusted into the wise and noble hands of the Nevaehin imperial family.
The rod is immensely powerful and as such, Seraphina must be cautious about using it too much as it does draw upon her own inner light for greater strength in times of great need.

BACKGROUND
Seraphina was born the only child of the beloved Emperor Cornelius and Empress Aurelia of the empire of light, Nevaeh.
Her childhood was a golden one, when she wasn't with her parents observing them in their royal duties, she was stomping around the royal gardens in play as her devoted bodyguards watched over her. She never quite understood the necessity for bodyguards in a realm so happy and safe as Nevaeh, where the sun was warm, the flowers were vibrant and the commonfolk so content.
The emperor and empress however knew of a looming potential threat coming from their distant neighbor in Tenreth, the empire of darkness… though they felt it was for the best that their young daughter was oblivious to this fact for fear that fear might rob their precious daughter of her joyful childhood.
For many years, Emperor Cornelius had felt the power of Tenreth growing stronger and stronger, alarmingly so… to the point that it made the emperor and his empress concerned that the balance they worked so hard to maintain could be put at very serious risk… especially knowing about the grand ambitions that Tenrethian rulers had come to be known for over many generations.
However… what transpired, no one would have foreseen…
As the emperor and empress had done so many times before over hundreds of years without any incident or interference from Tenreth, they left the safety of the white palace with their young daughter to join the people in celebrating Nevaeh's annual festival of lights. In this festival, it was customary as night fell to light beautifully decorated paper lanterns and release them into the air as symbols that even in the darkness, one could always find light to cut through the choking darkness if they looked deeply within themselves for it and that this inner light was the strongest light of all.
Without warning, the sounds of happiness within the celebration turned to terrified screams as blasts of dark shadow magic rained down upon the Nevaehin standing at the city center… above were Tenrethian sorcerers riding Eldritch Shadow Griffins, leading them at the front was none other than Emperor Firenze Nyxborne.
Emperor Cornelius ordered the imperial bodyguards to secure his daughter to the safety of the white palace while he and his empress fended off the Tenrethian attackers… Although Emperor Cornelius did not have The Crystal Rod with him as he didn't consider needing it while attending the celebration, he and Aurelia were still formidable in the ways of light magic.
While they did manage to force the Tenrethians to retreat back to their dark empire with Emperor Firenze badly wounded, the cost paid for this was immense… for as the dust settled, among the destruction… was the now lifeless bodies of Cornelius and Aurelia.
It was at the tender age of twelve that Seraphina became the new empress.
Seraphina spent the next twelve years learning how to rule and mastering the power of The Crystal Rod, the first thing she did with this was erect a barrier of light around Nevaeh to protect the citizens from further attacks and give them time to rebuild everything damaged.
Under the guardianship of her three faithful bodyguards, Seraphina grew in grace and wisdom, kindness and compassion.
News eventually came to Nevaeh from scouts that the Emperor Firenze was dead, poisoned as it would seem and his son Dorien was now emperor.
Seraphina knows the time will come when Tenreth would attempt to strike again, even harder than that fateful day. She must be ready.
