Hey all!
Name's Humbug, decided arbitrarily from a list of verbs on a word generator. I'm original like that :cool: I use he/him pronouns, am 21, and active roleplayed from 2012-2017 (mostly on NationStates? If that rings a bell?) I've ventured into more realistic solo fiction/general academic work after I came to college, but I miss how wired out my brain would be coming up with zany worlds with fun folx. Hence, my return!
As for writing style, I love heading up big stories. 1x1's were and are pretty foreign territory for me; I prefer working with a large group (but I would always be interested in solo stuff, feel free to reach out!) In terms of genre/style, I'm big into reimaginings of fantasy/magical elements with modern (usually young) characters, typically by creating reeeeeally weird abilities through birthdays, zodiacs, personality tests...that sort of thing. I'm also a sucker for straight-up fantasy, sci-fi, slice of life, you name it. I'm not sure how popular those styles are here, but I'm flashy if nothing else, so at the very least maybe I have a niche! Setting inspirations vary - off the top of my head, I can think of Earthbound, the Grand Canyon, the concept of Mongolian Jazz in its entirety....
Anyway, nice to meet y'all. If you like stories with a lot of energy and presentation (who doesn't love a good soundtrack), I'd love to work with ya. This community seems very nice and active, so I hope to stick around! Sláinte
