Welcome to my Mythology thread.
Now, I'm a big fan of Mythology, Norse is my number one, but Greek is a close second. My two favorite gods would be Thor and Zeus, both sky gods, both having the power of lightning at their command. However they are still very different gods. Anyway, I want to set up an RP or two, using these gods as inspiration. So this is very much a story heavy RP, smut is allowed, but only if it makes sense in the story. I'm not looking for our characters to meet, and then do the nasty to seconds after.
I'm very into brainstorming ideas, so I'm just letting you know right now, even though I'm writing down ideas, I'm always up for brainstorming them, and tweaking them. I'm also more than happy to listen to your ideas. :)
If none of those ideas interests you, I have a few other loose ideas. Some involve going back in time, or a fantasy Viking world. Or even something more akin to getting transported into a fantasy world with the powers of Norse or Greek god. I have a few different things up my sleeve, so let me know if you wanna explore those ideas instead.

This idea can work on both Norse and Greek Mythology, or even a mix of different mythologies. In this story, humanity rebelled against the gods thousand of years ago, but just because you can kill a god, does not mean they stay dead. Gods are the embodiment of the universe, they can limit chaos, but for someone with that much power, it isn't hard to imagine the dangers it could pose to humanity. The world no longer believe in the gods, to most they are just old histories to explain lightning, or changing seasons and such.
But a secret organization has dedicated themselves to hunt down people who are the reincarnations of the gods. Sure, they might look different, have mortal parents, totally normal lives and new names. But sooner or later, their godly powers will start to develop, and as time goes on, the stronger they get. It is the organization's job to hunt down these gods, and either lock them away, or even out right kill them.
We will be playing two of these reincarnated gods. One of us will have their powers just awoken, and just as they start to notice their powers, they will start getting hunted down. Then my or your character will step in and save the other, convincing them to go on the run to stay alive. The longer you are on the run, the better your chances. Stay low, and don't be an idiot, and you might survive. But, gods being gods, their powers will be growing, and with their powers growing, so will the threat.
Can our characters survive long enough to reach godhood?

So this idea has a more Supernatural/Vigilante theme to it.
It is based on Norse Mythology, and in this story, MC will be granted the powers of Thor. Not Marvel Thor, but Mythology Thor. Our characters will be in college, and life in the big city is a bit, rotten at times. To but it simply, I really like the idea of a young man getting Thor's powers, and then using them to go after criminals. But also finding out there is a whole hidden supernatural community that is hidden from the world. And the Giants are still around, and pulling strings in the background.
I have a few ideas about MC and YC. Some like, MC can transform into what you would imagine a full grown Thor to look like. And when he is in that transformation, he gains all his powers. But when he is just in his normal body, he isn't as powerful. That is just an idea I'm floating around, but it is not a must, I might not even add it.
As for YC, I have a few loose ideas. I've always loved the romance story between a hero and the good girl. Like a rich girl with a heart of gold. But if you want some more action, then perhaps there is a twist to that story, and she is a descendant of the Valkyrie! Of course, she does not need to be the rich girl, she can be a rough girl, or something more average. She does not even need to be a Valkyrie, she could have other powers, or none at all.
I think there is a lot of potential in this story. I really wanna do a scene with MC chasing down a gang, or getting into a brawl with a group of bikers in his viking form. But those are just ideas. There is plenty of things to brainstorm!
