Into the Styx: A Introduction
Hello everyone! I go by Astral or Styx, and I’m thrilled to be joining this community. Today actually marks my 27th birthday, and I figured there was no better way to celebrate a new year than by finally diving into the world of collaborative writing.I’ve spent the last five years immersed in the solo grind, a journey that has resulted in two completed books. While I love the process of world-building on my own, I’m branching out into roleplaying to challenge my spontaneity and relinquish a bit of narrative control. I’m looking to explore creative "realms" that simply don’t surface when I’m the only one pulling the strings.
The Technicals
- Post Length: I enjoy "meat on the bone." I will typically aim for anywhere from 1 long paragraph to 5+ paragraphs, depending on what the scene requires. I prioritize character depth and a thick atmosphere.
- Availability: I work nights, so my schedule is a bit "nocturnal." You’ll often find me online late at night, though I occasionally pop in during the early morning.
- Reliability: I work full-time, I’m in college, and I’m an author, life happens! I’m very patient with slow replies, so long as the interest is still there. All I ask is for a quick heads-up if you’re taking a hiatus.
Genres & Pairings

Boundaries & Mature Content
As a horror and thriller writer, I am very comfortable with violence and gore. I can write it out in full, visceral detail or fade to black depending on your comfort level.Regarding Smut/ERP:
I am a sucker for detail. While I can fade to black, I prefer to write it out to maintain the narrative flow.
- Pairings: MxF or FxF (looking to explore MxM in the future).
- Limits: Scat, Incest, and extreme gore during intimate scenes.
- Kinks: I’m open to most things! If you have something specific in mind, just ask, I don’t bite (unless requested).
Fandoms
I am primarily an original-setting writer, but I will dabble in the following (all characters must be aged up to college-age/adult):- Harry Potter (University setting)
