Hi! I am always looking for more rps. Please see more about me below to determine if you think we'd be a good match. If so, please message me a little about yourself and what you would be interested in rping together.

  • Hi! I'm Martzi. I'm nonbinary and use they/them/theirs pronouns. I'm in EST in the USA. I have been rping for about 15 years and love it so much. Other hobbies include board games and being out in nature. I'm chronically ill and disabled and my health sometimes kicks my ass - I ask for your patience when it does.
  • Length: I average 2-5 paragraphs or around 200-700 words. But I mirror my partner on this and can write more or less. All I ask from my partner is that you give me something to work with and that you don't have so much happen in one post that it doesn't flow naturally or give me a chance to respond.

Frequency: My frequency varies with my health, between multiple times a day to once a week. If it'll be less than that for any reason, I'll try to give you a heads up on what's happening. If I forget, feel free to give me a nudge and I'll give you an update - I'm generally able to chat even if I can't post. Just don't pressure me to post if I'm not able to for some reason. I do not expect my partners to post as frequently as me, I know I'm on way more than most are able to be. I would love at least one post a week to help keep things fresh in my memory, but there's truly never any pressure. If you need several months to post, that's fine too. I may check in to see how you're doing but that is it. This is a hobby and it quickly becomes less fun if you feel pressured, in my experience.

Tense & Perspective: I prefer 3rd person, past tense. I think I'd prefer symmetry if you can do the same. But if not, we can give writing in different tenses a try!

Characters: I write characters of all genders and orientations. Please don't come to me to demand that I write my character as cis-het, though. While I can and sometimes (rarely) do so, if you only do mxf or refuse to play with a trans character, then I'm not interested. I can write many characters at once and am happy to have many main characters or to fill the world with background characters.

Communication: To me, the joy of rping is in building a story collaboratively. As such, I will always endeavor to hold up my end of plotting and world building without taking control. I ask that you do the same. I also love chatting ooc and being friends with my rp partners and am almost always on to chat if not to post. I don't require that you be super chatty, though it would be lovely to hear from you ic or ooc at least once a week. I do not ghost - if something is wrong, I will tell you. However, if you need to ghost, that's okay. In general, I endeavor to be an open and honest communicator.

Genre: I like most genres! I'd say Dystopian and Fantasy are my favorite. Horror is my least favorite, followed by Slice of Life (I will still do the latter given enough plot points to keep it engaging).
  • I am still learning to rp graphic violence/gore and sex. But I am entirely willing to do so and am very open to feedback and constructive criticism so that I get better at it.

Limits: Since I'm just beginning rping this kind of thing, I'm still learning what my limits are, so please be patient with me if I ask to change or skip a scene. I will always respect your boundaries in return, whenever they come up and without question. With things such as noncon (or other dark material like transphobia etc) I just ask that we not glorify it. In general, I don't like age gaps, incest, or cannibalism - but exceptions may be made depending on the circumstances.

Kinks: My characters are not me and their kinks are their own. As such, I can't really tell you what they'll be into until I've made my character for the rp. I probably will not be interested in designing a rp around a specific kink.

Ratio: I prefer more plot to smut. I am happy to have no smut at all but there must be plot. I'd say a ratio of 80/20 or less is my happy place but I'm willing to be flexible on this - ASK!
  • I tried to put most of this in the section about my rp style, but I thought it would be good to have a separate section. So here are my requirements for rp partners. I think most are simple enough.
    1. Be inclusive. I talked earlier about my need for partners to be open to lgbtq+ characters, but you also need to be good with disabled characters, characters of color, etc. No ooc bigotry. Also, no fetishizing any identity.
    2. Be collaborative. You'll notice in the next section that my plots include a lot of options and 'let's decide together' in them. This is because I don't want to control the rp. On the flip side, I don't want you to take it out of my hands entirely. Please be excited to build the rp together! Ask me questions to get my input, give your own ideas - let's make something fun together! My first ask with this is: when you reach out, please share what plot you're interested in and your own initial ideas on where you'd like to take it!
    3. Be communicative. I love being friends with my rp partners but it's not a requirement. What is a requirement? Talking to me about the rp. Don't completely change it without talking to me. And tell me if something's bothering you so we can fix it - I do not want to be writing material that is upsetting you!
    4. Be patient. I normally post frequently but sometimes health or life kicks my ass. Please be patient when it does and don't demand posts. When I push myself when my health is bad it just makes it worse, so in the end you'll be waiting longer. However, you're more than welcome to check in and ask for an update on what's going on / how long I think it will be until I can post.
    5. Be a descriptive writer. I don't have a specific post length I require. But please write descriptively. Help me describe the scenery, tell me about your character's expression and movements so I have something to go off of, and boy do I love hearing characters' thoughts! To be honest, if you can do all this in less than a paragraph / 150 words, I will be surprised and impressed. But by all means, try!
    6. Give me a chance to reply. Don't prioritize long posts over giving me a chance to reply, please. I want descriptions, not for you to have a half hour pass in one post. I hate trying to figure out how to reply to like three different conversations that happened in one post. Also, I'll take this moment to state the obvious - don't control my character without my permission.
    7. Give a thorough introduction! If you're interested in rping together, please dm me and tell me about yourself and your writing style. I wrote this whole interest check so you can decide if we'd make good partners. I'd love a chance to come to the same conclusion! In return, if there's anything you're still wondering about me, feel free to ask.
  • I am not tied to any of these plots and am happy to write a plot you've been itching to write or to create something new together! But if you'd like to start with one of my ideas, here are some barebones ideas I've had. They are all kept brief so that we can build them up together.

Muse A & B are deeply in love. Until Muse A is presumed dead. Muse B never stops loving Muse A but eventually, years later, they manage to move on and fall for Muse C. Now Muse A has returned only to find their love coupled up with someone else. I'm not sure how this would end - whether it would wind up in a poly situation or who they'd wind up with. I'm open to discussing.

I think it could be fun to have the reason Muse A was presumed dead be a big plot point as well. Maybe they faked their death because someone is after them. They've reappeared because they think it's safe now - but it's not. Or maybe they were really killed and turned by a vampire and just managed to escape their sire - now they have to figure out how to manage their cravings for blood. There's lots of options - lets get creative!

Someone with the ability to shapeshift is on a murder spree. Two (or more) people who hardly knew each other at the time were with each other when this started. So, they know they're both who they claim to be and aren't the shapeshifter. They are now each the only person the other can trust - so long as they don't leave each others' side. I think it makes sense to do this in a confined space - maybe on a space station, maybe on a university campus, etc.

In a capitalist dystopia, a group of people are working to change the world. We can do some world building together but I'm picturing it really dark, with huge wealth disparities that leave some people starving while others have massive food waste, discrimination to keep people from uniting, and some form of slavery (heavy imprisonment and prisoners being used as labor, indentured servitude but there's really no way out of it, capitol stores that keep people in debt to the company so they can never leave, androids used as straight up slave labor, etc). I'd like it to have parallels to today's society but to not be quite literally the modern US or anything - it's just not an escape then.

But I'd like to focus on a brewing rebellion and what that looks like. I'm very open to making this an ensemble cast but we could also focus on a central pair. We can decide together what stage the rebellion is at - are they trying to recruit people, are they actively fighting, etc? We could have some in-fighting as different people in the rebellion envision a different future or we could have all the conflict be external with the capitalist oligarchy hunting them down. There's a lot of options and I'd love to discuss them together!

One day, gods wake up on Earth, incredibly weakened and with no memory of how they got there. They all wake up in different places so they have no idea who all has been expelled from the heavens - maybe all of them, maybe just a few. The world is all out of balance without the gods' power and chaos soon reigns - natural disasters, war, etc. Our characters must find out what happened and figure out how to set things to rights. But they face plenty of trouble along the way.

We could both take gods - I keep picturing two kinds of love gods (unrequited vs requited, lust vs romantic, etc) always bickering and trying to show the other up to prove they're the most powerful. Or one of us could be a god and the other could be a mortal that takes them in - what does this mean for them if they come to care for each other, for they both know the god will long outlive the mortal.

I have ideas on why the gods have been expelled (one god / a group of gods trying to take power, a group of humans trying to take control of their own world, a vengeful divine ex-lover, the next stage in the gods' life cycle, a test of some sort, etc) but would like to make a definitive decision on that together :)

I do occasionally write fandoms. Usually CCxCC or OCxOC. CCxOC will be a hard sell but not impossible. There are two fandoms I'm particularly eager to write for:

Here I'm mostly interested in exploring the lives of victors. How do they cope with their trauma, deal with the sex trade, and handle mentoring?

One plot I'm eager to play is having a Victor's loved one reaped. (We'll have to get creative about ages here - maybe it's a quarter quell where adults can be reaped, or maybe they're 18 almost 19). We could see what the mentoring process looks like and how they both handle it.

Or we could do something focused on the early days of the rebellion and the victors' role in that.

I may also be interested in exploring Finnick x Annie and how their relationship came to be.

Yes, yes, JK Rowling is evil. And while I'm not about to do anything that would give her money, I can't quite bring myself to let her take a beloved series away from me.

So. Here I'm specifically interested in a Remus/Sirius rp (ideally with me playing Remus). I'm very open in terms of plot. We could do something focused on the first war, or something focused on Sirius getting out of Azkaban, a royalty/servant AU, or use one of my other plots and plop these two into it. Really, I can spit ball ideas for these two forever. If you're interested in the pairing, let me know and I'm sure we can come up with a plot we'd both enjoy!
