So I'm new to this site and RP forums in general. I've been invited into RP groups before, but I haven't started one of my own, so bear with me.

The main genre I play is romance-y slice-of-life stuff. It's adorable and I love it and I might be a teensy bit addicted to pairing off characters. I play MxF and FxF. (I have a hard time getting into MxM.) I'm not particularly picky about genres, though, as long as it's not too dark. That doesn't tend to be an issue, because I like to stick to (relatively) realistic settings. Lore is nice, but if it takes me half an hour or more to know just the basics, I'm probably not going to be interested. (That's why I never was big on D&D; I like to just jump right in with little fuss.) I can write any length of post, too, though I stick to a short paragraph if there aren't any rules or trends to follow.

Like I said, I'm new to starting an RP, so most of my ideas are just novel ideas I'll likely never get around to, but I could come up with one collaboratively if you'd like to give me some parameters or just use me as a springboard. I like adventure and romance RPs, as those are the two fun ones. Basically, if new and exciting things are happening or characters are getting closer (even just platonically), I'm probably down for that. If you're looking for a partner for something like that, or if you've got an opening in a group, let me know! I'll be sure to check it out.

Apparently, pairing information is a thing I should mention. My favorite types are:
Best friends
Neighbors
Roommates (I have a really fun cutesy FxF RP with this going)
Co-adventurers (Characters falling in love during an adventure)

I'm open to more pairing types than this. That's just what I gravitate toward.

Oh, and before I forget, I'm willing to play a girl character. 'S good for my writing to be different when I get the chance. I pick male by default, but, y'know... 's not an issue.

Hi! I actually have a couple of small plot ideas and one bigger plot idea, if you're interested! I tend to write novels for posts to start, but then it can vary per the point of the role play (Like, I can go from a full two chapters worth of a post to one paragraph, depending on what fits the situation). The third short idea (the one about the podcaster and crime syndicates) sounds good. Whether it's horror or comedy, it sounds interesting either way. Personally, since it's a podcaster and not a professional reporter or anything, it sounds more like a comedy. He shows up, they tell him what they do matter-of-factly, and he's just stunned. Meanwhile, they're not worried because he has such a small following.

I actually came up with that idea thinking that it could be drama or comedy, so I'm glad you steered towards comedy! :D I came up with the character that is the fallen-reporter-turned-podcaster, but I could work on other characters as well!
 
Yeah, I'll try to come up with a few ideas as well. So would this one be me playing the one character and then you playing a revolving cast of new colorful characters, or would it be more split than that?
 
I like to split a few! The reporter character that I came up with is a little inspired by the NBC version of Freddie Lounds, but she isn't the terrible human being that Lounds is. The gal was a little loose in her morals because she got lost in a power struggle, but now she's just trying to deal with her lost credibility and trying to make a living her with current skill set.
 
CRAP, I hit "Post Reply" before I finished typing.

I would play the reporter/podcaster and then a few characters on the "normal side" and maybe a few on the "night" side. Then you could probably do the same. What are you comfortable with?
 
Yeah, that works. I'm sure I could come up with some interesting criminal characters.

Added some new stuffs, like pairings. It's been established that shipping is my crack, but you should know whether I like finely-ground cocaine or if I prefer to smoke rocks.

(Just go with this metaphor. I already made it, and I'm not taking it back now.)

Hello. I'm new to this site (although not to RPing), and I think we may be able to get along well for an RP. I like romance in my RPs as well, although I generally prefer when there is another plot as well. I think the suggestion of characters falling in love on an adventure is what really caught my attention. I'm a total sucker for anything adventure or fantasy related. I tend to prefer female characters and mxf pairings, although I'm open to trying new things. As for post length, how much I write generally depends on how much I have to respond to, so it varies based on my partner and the current situation (ie- posts will likely be shorter during conversations and such, where frequents responses are necessary). Also, as to a style, I tend to enjoy slower paced RPs exploring character development, relationships, and emotions, rather than straight action and plot, although that is important to. Anyway, if you think you'd like to RP with me, feel free to shoot me a message and maybe we can talk it over and see if we can't work something out.
