hey,

i’m seth. i’m looking for one person who wants to invest their time in a wlw rp. before you keep reading and possibly waste your time, i want to make it clear from the start that i’m a plot-oriented writer. my main focus is on the storyline, the worldbuilding, and the development between our characters.

• now a bit more about me:
  
  ➥ i’m a novella-style writer, which means i enjoy writing a lot. that doesn’t mean every single reply will be over 1000 words though. sometimes too much is simply too much. that’s why i prefer the length to depend on the scene. if our characters are interacting directly, it often works better to write less. my shorter posts are usually at least 400–500 words, and on average i probably write around 800–900 words.
  
  ➥ i can’t really write an rp if it doesn’t include historical-based elements. whether it’s fictional historical or set closer to our real world doesn’t really matter to me. i just need that “historical/fictional” worldbuilding to feel truly invested in the plot. i don’t think i have many limits in that regard, at least none that come to mind. the only thing i’m not into is very heavy high fantasy (with kobolds and things like that, that’s where i’m out).
  
  ➥ i’m an active writer, which means that if i have the time and i’m especially excited about the plot, i can post daily. don’t worry though, i definitely don’t expect the same from you. on average, i should be able to manage one or two posts per week.
  
  ➥ i’m ghosting-friendly. of course i enjoy ooc chat, but i don’t expect constant or highly active communication. well, i prefer it, but i don't require it lmao
  
  ➥ smut ratio: my smut ratio depends on the plot. i don’t have a fixed percentage since it varies depending on the storyline, character development, and the overall chemistry between our characters. so i prefer it when everything intimate develops alongside the plot.
• now about you, or rather what i’m looking for:
  
  ➥ 21+ years old
  ➥ writing in third person past tense
  ➥ someone who, like me, can adjust their length depending on the scene
  ➥ creative. someone who loves plotting and building worlds.
  
  ♣ please bring your own ideas and take initiative. i want you to tell me what you’d like to write, which scenes you’d like to explore next, how you imagine the plot developing, instead of me constantly having to ask and guide everything. the whole point of an rp is to build a story together : )
  
  ♣ if you’re going to be absent for a while, you can just let me know with a quick “busy right now” or whatever—or say nothing at all lol. i definitely won’t chase you down or expect explanations. we’re both adults, and writing is meant to be a fun escape, not something that adds more stress to our everyday lives.
• character expectations (important)
  
  ➥ both of our characters should be at least 24/25 years old. this is important for the themes, which can often get darker, and generally i don’t feel comfortable writing a younger character, especially if the love interest is also young.
  
  ➥ oh, and if our characters have known each other since childhood, they need to have been roughly the same age the whole time. i don’t want any situation where one character is much older, watches the other grow up as a child, and then suddenly develops romantic feelings YUCK!
  
  ➥ i’m not a fan of strict dom/sub dynamics. i value characters who are layered and emotionally nuanced rather than defined by a single role.
  
  ➥ especially important: for face claims, make sure your character looks like an adult. i don’t like face claims where the person clearly looks too “teenage” and too tiny or frail. the character’s age should be visibly reflected.
  
  ➥ both of our characters must be cis women.
  
  ➥ i like to share side characters with my writing partner, unless they’re very closely tied to your character and it wouldn’t make sense for me to write them too.
• my limits:
  
  i won’t list all forum rules here, but the following are absolute no-gos for me:
  ➥ no excrement
  ➥ no incest or any form of inbreeding, including cousins of any degree, and also no stepsibling/stepcousins…
  ➥ no necrophilia
  ➥ no noncon between our characters
  ➥ no bestiality, or “disguised” bestiality where a character has overly strong animalistic traits. i’m also not a fan of shape-shifting, like human to a literal animal, or creatures that are basically talking animals
  ➥ no furry
  
  hmm, that’s about it for now, though i might think of more as we go.
• i don’t have detailed plots, more like general ideas or tropes:
  
  ♣ noblewoman and agent:
  
  mc is a noblewoman from a very influential and powerful family. yc is an agent, hired as the mc’s new companion, tasked with spying on the family and uncovering one or more secrets.
  
  i was thinking that the mc’s family could be running some kind of criminal enterprise or shady business and yc has to expose them.
  
  historically, i was imagining something like victorian england, but i’m open to ideas. we could also set it in a fictional world if that works better.​
  
  ♣ noblewoman and bodyguard
  
  yc is a young woman married to a wealthy aristocrat who is much older than her. she was placed in an arranged, loveless, and childless marriage, but still enjoys great wealth and influence. her husband also serves closely under the regent. one evening, the family becomes the target of an assassination attempt. yc barely survives, while her husband is severely injured.
  
  for protection, the regent assigns highly skilled bodyguards. yc is placed under the mc’s private protection, and over time, feelings develop between the two women, even as they work to uncover who is targeting the mc and her husband.
  
  i imagined that yc is the second wife and her husband might already have older or adult children.​
  ​
  the roles can also be switched here. i wouldn't mind to take on the married noblewoman and you could play the guard instead, if you’d like.​
  
  ♣ i’m also totally up for a plot with medieval-horror, though i don’t have a concrete storyline for that yet.
  
  ♣ other interests/themes i like include: light magic, vampires, demons, the ottoman empire, feudal japan, knighthood, plagues, kingdoms, wars/conflicts, court intrigue, class conflicts, revenge, occult, imperialism...
