I have been roleplaying for the larger majority of my life with a few breaks here and there, and am just getting back into things again.

Something I particularly struggle with doing is talking about myself. I do not like being the focus of attention and I am a total people pleaser by nature. I am making a concentrated effort to negate that here so that I can effectively vocalize what I want to do and make sure I enjoy myself also. I have a really bad habit of going with the flow for the other persons sake, oftentimes at my own expense, and not being able to speak up when I'm not particularly fond of something. It's a hell of my own making, I know. If you suspect I'm doing this please call me out on it.

I'm really looking for a roleplay that excites me. The more time we spend developing our plot, storyline, and our characters the more invested I'll feel. The planning phase is one I really enjoy and I want my partner to share that excitement and investment with me.



What I'm Looking For:​

Characters:
I am a big believer in having character sheets. I want to know everything you know about your character. How you would describe them, their background, their interests, and vice versa-- I want you to be just as informed on mine. Having a good character is one of the biggest foundations I have found to a successful longterm roleplay. No one is without their flaws, so our characters shouldn't be either. Knowing what motivates your character, how they respond to different situations, and how they evolve throughout the story are all necessary to suspend disbelief to the reader.

Plot:
For me, this is the make or break of so many role-plays. You can have the best developed character in the world, but without a strong plot to sail towards your character will sink on that ship. I personally love to plan out what happens in the story and discuss with my partner how to proceed OOC. It's a good way to communicate about needs, and to ensure both our characters are given opportunities to progress they way we would like for them to at the pace we would like for them to. This brings me to my next point: I love a slow burn. I absolutely will NOT participate in a roleplay that is based solely upon the act of having sex. Don't get me wrong, I love smut/erotica as much as the next person, but all the fun is in the build-up and development between characters for me, and the quickest way I lose interest in a role-play is if we skip that. We just spent all that time developing a quality character and a storyline we're excited about, so why cut it short? The more time we spend building our plot and characters, means the more content we will have! Ideally I'm aiming for something more long term but I'm open to changing that based on how we're feeling.

Writing Style:
I will be playing a female character and I am only looking for a male character match. I don't mind playing side characters of either gender, but I'm not really interested in being a male love interest. I write in third person past tense and I would prefer it if my partner did the same. We all make mistakes, so if you or I slip up it's never a big deal. The same applies with grammar and spelling also. We are always improving, and the goal is to help each other improve not to put each other down. I don't like to give minimum word counts or paragraphs to posts, but I generally would prefer at least a paragraph. I do my best to match efforts, so if you give me an eloquently written multi-paragraphed post, I'll do the same. That being said, long posts for the sake of long posts are pointless--you can only describe what's going on mid-conversation for so long before losing your reader. OOC communication should be held within the conversations thread, and posting should be limited to the post thread. Another reason why I think OOC communication is so important is because it prevents power playing. This is literally my biggest pet peeve. I will never assume control and take the reins of the character you worked hard to create, so I kindly ask the same. If there's something specific you'd like to have happen, let me know and I'd be happy to work with you.

Posting Frequency:
I try to make a post once per day. Right now my schedule is pretty flexible, so I may try and post more frequently. I understand that this might not be the case for others and totally respect and understand that real life comes first. If you know you're going to be delayed in getting back to me, just let me know. Generally I will assume you've moved on if you have not responded within a week.

Lastly, I'm a big believer in having a zero judgement policy. We should be able to be honest with each other if things aren't working out. Regardless of whether not we are a good match, no longer interested, not cool with a particular kink, it doesn't matter. We should be able to communicate how we feel without being shamed or shaming the other person.

Current Roleplay Interests:

I typically enjoy things that have darker undertones, and love anything with complex developments or anything that causes a character have any internal conflict. I'm going to leave a few general ideas of role-plays I would be interested in doing. I did my best to summarize and categorize them, but these are meant to be intentionally general. We would add more details together once we agreed on a plot/pairing! For ease of understanding I will play Muse A and you would play Muse B.​

Spectral Affairs

Muse A was created for a single purpose: to die for the one she loves. Inspired by lore within Elden Ring, Muse A is a deathbed companion, lying down with others to absorb their life-force for the sake of her intended, Muse B.

Captive

Muse B is a brutal general of war leading his army as they conquer and pillage enemy lands. Muse A is taken captive during on of Muse B's many raids, becoming his slave and personal possession. Muse A must learn how to become useful in her new role or risk being slaughtered, all while navigating her plans to escape, and her frightened curiosity towards Muse B.

Mated

Muse A lives alone in the wilderness. Muse B is a feral Lycan, unfamiliar with civilized humanity. After encountering each other in the wild, Muse B gets a taste for an unwilling Muse A, and begins his pursuit of Muse A as his mate.
