BACKGROUND

Florian was born the beloved and cherished sole heir of both the Constantine and Lafontaine family fortunes.

His father Rene Constantine is still renowned throughout the fashion scene throughout the world for his elegant and timeless pieces… he constantly gets desperate requests from celebrities to design their red carpet outfit or high society brides willing to pay him anything to design their gowns. Unfortunately for them, he is very picky about his clients and has worked hard to be in the position where he can afford to be so choosey.

His mother Angelique Constantine is among the highest sought after brain surgeons in the world, she is right up there in the top three with the highest success rate and absolutely no lives lost on her operating table.

From a very young age, Florian himself displayed a standard perfectionism in every aspect of his life, from his schooling, his reputation, his physical appearance, his clothing, the individuals he associates with and the list goes on. Performing anything in any other way than his absolute top tier best is unacceptable for him.

When Florian turned sixteen, a friend of his father's helped open the door for Florian into the world of modeling, introducing him to Ivan Bart, the president of global fashion giant IMG Models.

Just seeing Florian immediately piqued Ivan's interest, he could easily see his fair princely appearance being enormously popular with the younger female demographic… and thirty minutes later of talking with the young man, it was a done deal and he was signed. Part time, of course, since Florian insisted upon putting his school career as his top priority until his glorious and flawless graduation from his private high school.

One could easily call Florian a workaholic, though he wore it very well… after graduating high school, the beautiful and ambitious young man not only managed to continue part time modeling (and still becoming famous despite being only part time), he also pursued an education in chemistry, biology, and specialized cosmetic science and formulation design programs as he had a desire to develop his own signature cosmetic line that he himself put the work into… instead of just slapping his name on someone else’s hard work as so many others chose to do.

He spent six years doing this juggling since he turned eighteen and graduated early after petitioning to take his final exams sooner. The School board was skeptical, but allowed the bold student to have what he wanted… It was no surprise to Florian that they were all blown away speechless by his dazzling and superior intellect.

Around the time of his graduation, just when he was considering doing more modeling than he’d previously been doing… his mother called him and told him that he would be spending six months on Marriage Island to potentially find a bride that met his standards for excellence… they had let him pursue and focus on his modeling and higher education like he wanted… they felt it was now time that he focus on giving the family fortunes a future heir and them a grandchild to spoil.

Reluctantly, Florian submitted to their demands.

BACKGROUND

Cordelius and Magnus met when their families shipped them off to boarding school and over the course of the years they attended the Swiss school, the two fell madly in love… though they waited until they turned eighteen to come out to their families and announce their love… They knew their families loved them, but they also knew how old elite bloodlines and very stiff prim and proper parents could get about changes in traditions and things like that, so they wanted to make sure both of them were of age to make their own decisions and fly the nest together if things went bad.

While Cordelius’s parents were less than receptive towards the new, Magnus’s family was shockingly warm and inviting when their son brought his male fiance home to meet them… apparently, Magnus’s family had always known he was gay and were simply waiting until he felt comfortable enough to come out to them in his own time and they thought Cordelius was just the loveliest and most respectful boy Magnus had ever brought home. They were so proud of his choice of partner, such a darling addition to their family.

While Cordelius’s family treated him coldly after the truth came out, they did not remove him from the will as their heir to the Cavendish family fortune… Thankfully Magnus’s family lovingly embraced Cordelius as part of their family and had him come and live with them in Switzerland.

Cordelius and Magnus went on then to attend Harvard University, Cordelius to become a lawyer and Magnus to become a surgeon.

The pair of them got an upscale apartment in Boston to call their home for awhile as Magnus was going to be at school a lot longer at twelve years to be certified as a surgeon then Cordelius’s three years for law.

It was in Cordelius and Magnus’s 4th year at university that Cordelius’s parents flew to Boston to apologize to him for their reaction to his coming out those four years ago and reconcile, they decided their son being gay was not the end of the world and wasn’t worth losing him over. It was clear they were genuine when Cordelius’s father shook Magnus’s hand with sincerity in his eyes and asked him to treat Cordelius well.

Cordelius got a job in Boston at a reputable law firm to get some experience under his belt while Magnus finished the next eight years of his medical classes.

Eight years went by and after Magnus graduated top of his class, the couple decided they really loved Boston and wanted to put down permanent roots there, so Cordelius opened up his own law firm and Magnus got a job as chief surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Their next step was to officially tie the knot and get married, next move was purchasing a charming small eight bedroom mansion.

One warm morning in the month of May, the now happily married husbands made the most startling discovery as Magnus was preparing to head to work… a newborn baby girl, swaddled in a striped pink, blue and yellow blanket.

When Cordelius heard Magnus shouting for him from the front porch, he found his husband there with the most beautiful and most precious little treasure in his arms, Magnus looked at Cordelius and murmured his name with soft eyes.

The both of them knew, right away. This beautiful baby was meant to be theirs.

The very best lawyers were immediately hired, pulling all any and all stops possible to ensure that the Cavendish-Bettencourt’s would be able to adopt the abandoned little girl as soon as possible.

Not to say that the authorities didn’t try and find the baby’s mother, but there was no success after several months, during that period of time, Magnus and Cordelius were permitted to foster the baby.

When authorities announced they were giving up the search, Magnus and Cordelius wasted absolutely no time in making their adoption of their new daughter legal, finally with great joy, legally giving her the name Adriana in honor of Magnus’s dearly departed grandmother.

As the years went by, Adriana grew up learning from her parents to be a very intelligent and profoundly kind little girl, she grew up seeing the beauty in each and every individual regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. She preferred to get to know a person and learn who they are within before making any decisions on associating or not. Everyone was worthy of love, compassion and a chance at acceptance.

Little Adriana, as her parents soon discovered, was very fond of dance and would be practically mesmerized each Christmas when the family would watch The Nutcracker. They enrolled her in ballet school when she was eight years old, she was immediately a natural as she picked up on the movements and grace of the art with ease.

She did most of her kindergarten and elementary school via homeschooling.

Belonging to a wealthy family, Adriana was later enrolled in a private high school nearby her family’s home to allow her to have social interaction alongside her education.

She was popular in high school with a great many groups, her genuine kind and gentle personality made her likable by cliques might call ‘geeks and nerds’, though Adriana never approved of those labels when used in a negative way, she found their intelligence and imagination to be stimulating and delightful. She attended many a DnD session with some of these people as a wood elf gloomstalker ranger, a few levels into rogue if the campaign level set allowed for it.

She joined the cheerleading team and the dance team, participating as well in the ballet appreciation club. She was quite popular with the ballet club, having received ballet teaching ever since she was young to the present time.

Adriana enjoyed breaking barriers and doing everything she could to decrease bullying around school. She hated the thought that anyone might feel beaten down or alone, no one deserved to feel that way.

She was quite a force of nature as well towards the bullies that just downright refused to amend their ways, she made it clear she wasn't going to be pushed around or quietly take any of their crap.

Her senior prom, Adriana attended with the primary DM of the DnD group she played with, they weren’t exactly a romantic thing, but he was Adriana’s dearest friend and neither of them had significant others at the time. So it made sense to them to enjoy the dance together. It didn’t hurt that being seen dancing with her helped his reputation a bit.

Sweet guy. Adriana hoped he’d find a great partner one day, whomever he or she might be.

After graduating high school, Adriana attended Julliard for two years before she decided she wanted to pursue the possibility of finding love while she was still young enough to enjoy it and still have time a bit down the road for having children.

She spoke to her parents and volunteered to go to Marriage Island for six months, where there would be a dense gathering of her similar aged peers where she could get to know people and possibly find her soulmate.

Wanting their daughters happiness and eventually to get some grandchildren to spoil, her two wonderful fathers gave their approval.

BACKGROUND

She was born and raised in a small town in France, until her family moved to the US when she was 13. In school all of her difficulties came from other girls, not from the classes themselves. She always thought the classes were far too easy, but refused to skip any of them. Her family paid for a college of her choice, where she studied psychology. But in the summer of her 20th birthday, an scuba diving trip to Greece suddenly changed her. She found something there which she keeps a secret, at least until she is able to discover more complete credible information. But what she saw stuck in her mind enough to pivot her whole life, dropping out of her psychology major to pursue archaeology and anthropology instead. In her mind she keeps maps, keys, patterns, symbols, which she'd sometimes draw so she doesn't forget. If someone asks, she'd say that they are just her art and fictional creations.

Sarah traveled the world, sometimes on study expeditions, sometimes on vacations with friends, and sometimes alone, chasing dreams and ideas which which never quite materialized. Her parents were happy to fund her adventures for a while, seeing that she was somewhat responsible with money. But soon they noticed how her relationships were always short, her life was chaotic, and she was making no progress toward a marriage.
So one day her parents decided to be the ones to choose her next trip: half a year at Marriage Island, to get her back on track with the promise of all the funding she'd need, so long as she is not alone. To their surprise, Sarah agreed without a fight.
The loneliness of working and studying on her own is finally getting to her, and she can really use the inheritance money.

BACKGROUND

Waylen’s upbringing would definitely be considered privileged, including private schools and tutors. They spent their summers at the family home in Montreal and winters at their property in Florida. Since he was a young boy his father has been grooming him to take over the family business, though he’s shown very little interest.

Gifted with a high IQ (but often cursed with bouts of low common sense, or tact), he was talented in school, with an impressive ability to retain information and born with an inquisitive nature. He graduated early and took several simultaneous IT and technology related courses. At age 26 he’s already obtained several degrees and a masters.

His relationship with his parents has deteriorated over the past few years, as he hates the defense industry and has little interest in the family business. He would rather develop technology to do good, than to create weapons of destruction and the means to deliver them. This has created a riff between him and his father. His mother’s constant nagging him about getting married and producing grandchildren for her to pamper has also taken its toll on their relationship… It was to get her off his back that he’s signed up to attend this silly Island Project.

Maybe he might meet someone, though he’s quite skeptical. If nothing else, this would be a great opportunity to work on learning German alone while lying on a beach.

BACKGROUND

Davi grew up in a big family that originated from the slums of Brazil. A country full of culture, great food, and some of the world’s most beautiful sceneries. Dani, Davi’s father, was a hard working man, though when he struck gold everything changed for him. Dani worked for a small company that distributed skates (type of stingray) to South American countries. His father befriended a Korean man who was visiting Brazil, that’s when the two came up with the idea to sell Skates to Korea.

The market for Skates in Korea was high, being one of the most eaten fish in the country. At first it started out innocent, then it quickly drew the wrong kind of attention when things took off for the two Friends. With the little taste of money, and a hunger to provide more for his family, Dani decided to try and push Colombian white from Brazil to Korea. It worked, and let me tell you, it was more than just successful. Dani had become known throughout the underground world as the best middleman/handler around. With his focus solely on business he had a tendency to disappear from his family for weeks at a time.

Now, Davi’s father stepped away from that life style, though he invested funds into all the right places and is known to be one of the wealthiest Brazilian families in the world. After stepping away, the kids were all going to school and preparing for college. This is when they moved to Europe to get a better education for them. Davi and his siblings went to one of the most prestigious private schools in England. Their father, consumed by the money and rich life style never went back to being the family man he had originallly been. Creating his children to be very snobbish or troubled.

Davi was generally a good kid, always keeping up his grades and excelling in all sports. While in school he’d met some friends who were into music, sparking his creative and unique sound coming from Brazil, to create some of the world’s most popular songs in his teens. Being A middle child, he was often forgotten, always fending for himself or just keeping in solitude. He didn’t mind though, it gave him the space and time to do what he wanted.

His first dream in life was to be a world class soccer player, though with his father being heavily into the underground world, it was too dangerous to pursue it. Though he kept playing and became skilled, when turned 20 he occasionally visited Brazil, joining in a futsal league deep in favelas. He wore a mask to hide his identity because most people knew and remembered his father. This added to his mystique, generating a lot of attention to himself and becoming famous himself.

Recently his older brother was taken to jail for a drinking and driving accident, forcing his father’s hand into relying on Davi to be the next heir to their family, taking over their accounts and businesses. The one catch, his son had to get married to a woman his father deemed capable. Thus he was sent to Marriage island.
