FYI, it took longer to find a faceclaim I liked than it did to write the character up. He's AI, though not as realistic as I would have liked. @Missmonkey let me know if the selected faceclaim is suitable or if i should keep looking.

PERSONALITY
Initially, Waylen tends to be shy, quiet and reserved. Among people he knows and trusts he can and does willingly open up, though he would usually prefer talking about anything other than himself. He’s opinionated and tends to be argumentative when talking about a subject he knows a lot about. He’s not afraid to call out BS when he hears it. Otherwise, he’s awkwardly funny at times, he’s kind and generous (too much so, according to his father). He’s not a big ‘let’s go out’ kind of guy, he’s much more of a ‘let’s stay in’ kind of guy.

SKILLS/TALENTS
-Technologist- Waylen is a bit of a genius when it comes to technology, how it works and how it can be applied. He can strip apart almost any technological device and reassemble it with ease, often making it better.
-IT Expert- Waylen knows everything there is to know about computers, their function, programing. He’s an expert in both hardware and software, including knowledge on networks and infrastructure.
-Defence Industry Savant- Waylen’s family is in the Defense/Aerospace Industry and he has good knowledge on its workings (despite hating it)
-Encyclopedic Knowledge and Photographic Memory: Waylen is one of those guys who could go on Jeopardy and string together a series of wins. Of particular interest is the subject of History. He just knows a lot of stuff and has an uncanny ability to remember useless trivia. (Though he does often forget more practical short-term things)
-Waylen is fluent in English, French and Spanish. He’s working on learning German.
RELATIVES
-Father: George Shepheard- 52 (President and CEO of Shepheard Aerospace)
-Mother: Colleen Shepheard (nee Allenby)- 46 (Housewife)

BACKGROUND
Waylen’s upbringing would definitely be considered privileged, including private schools and tutors. They spent their summers at the family home in Montreal and winters at their property in Florida. Since he was a young boy his father has been grooming him to take over the family business, though he’s shown very little interest.
Gifted with a high IQ (but often cursed with bouts of low common sense, or tact), he was talented in school, with an impressive ability to retain information and born with an inquisitive nature. He graduated early and took several simultaneous IT and technology related courses. At age 26 he’s already obtained several degrees and a masters.
His relationship with his parents has deteriorated over the past few years, as he hates the defense industry and has little interest in the family business. He would rather develop technology to do good, than to create weapons of destruction and the means to deliver them. This has created a riff between him and his father. His mother’s constant nagging him about getting married and producing grandchildren for her to pamper has also taken its toll on their relationship… It was to get her off his back that he’s signed up to attend this silly Island Project.
Maybe he might meet someone, though he’s quite skeptical. If nothing else, this would be a great opportunity to work on learning German alone while lying on a beach.
He looks great. Approved. I can help you if you want a more realistic picture that resembles that, but it's perfectly fine either way.
