Hello new friends and fiends!
Just to kick things off, I'll say I've been in the role playing game for something around fifteen years and love the chance to collaborate with new partners! You can call me any variation on my username, I'm just as happy to be mundane as I am to be mystical. I am looking forward to a chance at finding some new partnerships and, hopefully, fostering some lasting friendships.

As a writer I've found my greatest interests come from fandom, so I am primarily looking to sate a few persistent fandom cravings at the moment. I'm also more prone to plot over smut. That's not to say that I like to fade to black, but I will often focus more on the planning and character development than with the quickest way to get our characters alone and intimate. With fandom I also know that doubling is a lot of people's ideals. I am more than happy to double, in fact I have come to expect it. I'll write as anyone for any pairing/orientation you may desire. If you're like me and like to craft OCs, I'm a judgment free partner. Bring me anyone, from your most self-indulgent OCs to ones with the most disastrous backstories, I crave partners I can talk about characters with for hours on end!

Some Ground Rules & Expectations
Just to make things simple, I'll lay these out in a convenient little list. These are not just what I look for in a partner, but what you can expect from me! Other useful information: I am in the CST (UTC-6) time zone and work a full-time office job. I'm generally most active in the evenings but, especially towards the end of the year, I have some extra days off that I've been burning with no real plans.
  • Frequency - I tend to be a casual role-player. This is a hobby first and foremost, and one that I do actively try to make time for. Generally speaking, I do my best to put out at least one post a day and will often strive for more if possible. I'm also very understanding, if my partner can't commit to one a day I will take whatever you're able to give!
  • Length - With a more casual approach comes a more casual post length. I work best when committing to around 200-500 words per character as an average, this may end up being more if we are playing out particularly detailed scenes or if multiple side characters are involved as well.
  • Doubling - As previously mentioned, I'm totally happy to double! To me this may mean playing two characters from two completely separate fandoms if that's what my partner prefers. I'm also not opposed to playing the same character for you that you're playing for me. I see doubling as an exchange and will generally agree to anything you'd like to see in the half you've requested. My only ask is that when posting both characters are given roughly equal attention. It doesn't have to be word for word, but I've had partnerships ruined in the past when one character would consistently get several meaty paragraphs of text while the other was relegated to maybe one decent paragraph.
  • Age/Setting - All main characters will be aged up to 18+ as needed, no high school settings will be used.
  • Communication - OOC chatter is encouraged but not required! I'm happy to plan through PMs, where writing is concerned it's fair game for PMs or forums.
  • Ratios - I tend to favor plot over smut but won't fade to black. I hesitate to set any one ratio, I could see any ideas ranging from an even 50/50 split all the way to an 80/20 in favor of plot.
  • Kinks - Put simply, these are a conversation. I tend to cater kinks to characters, and tend not to lean into many "extremes" with them. I'm interested in dom/sub dynamics when available, with my OCs taking the more submissive role. Things like light bondage, a bit of roughness, dirty talking, and aftercare are all welcome. All my pairings will be consensual but I'm not opposed to concepts of dub or non-con in doubling.
  • Limits - Everyone has them and I'm happy to respect yours! Please be open with me if there's anything you'd like to avoid. My biggest limits are generally regarding main character death, excessive violence for the sake of kink, bathroom play, filth, and foot play.

In Search Of...
Here comes the good stuff. I've had a couple of specific cravings I've been looking to sate. This section will outline them. I have a list at the bottom of fandoms I know and will be happy to double up with, but I am not currently seeking these for myself.

I'm including some character and plot information as appropriate, all OCs are relatively set in stone.

As mentioned previously, main characters are 18+ and no high school settings will be used.

  • A bit of a spin on the "good girl" trope, Beatrice (Bea, Bebe) is a bookish, slightly eccentric nerd with acute interests in fantasy, horror, storytelling, and music. (A closeted weirdo, so to speak.) She has a connection to the canon crew in that she was best friends with Robin since the time they were 7 years old. After getting struck by lightning she was briefly pronounced clinically dead before being resuscitated. She slipped into a long coma after that, and the doctors weren't quite sure when she'd wake up or when the scars covering most of her torso would fade.
  • This idea looks for a revisionist take on canon, with some of the biggest changes being that the main characters are out of high school. That and, of course, we won't be killing off Eddie this time. The plot I have in mind sees Bea having woken up not long before the start of the RP. She's trying to settle back into life around Hawkins and has picked up a job with Robin at the Family Video. Dustin and Mike storm through the place on their desperate hunt for a substitute for their Hellfire Club campaign. They try to convince Robin or Steve to play, but Bea is the only one to express interest. After a similarly successful campaign, Eddie gives Bea a lift back to the trailer park where they both live. This puts Chrissy elsewhere at the time of her death, meaning Eddie won't fall under suspicion for that. But, given their mutual connections to a good portion of the original crew (combined with some good old fashioned snooping) they are brought into the canon events. I see Beatrice's original coma having been influenced by the Upside Down, connecting her to it in a similar fashion to Will with the sort of "spidey" sense.
  • Intended exclusively for a modern setting, this would see Eddie having gotten the hell out of Hawkins with everyone's favorite Midwestern Metal band. After moving to New York City, they clawed their way up a competitive music scene until they were signed with a relatively popular record label. This is their big break, and their chance at a very professional studio album. One caveat is, either because of writer's block on Eddie's part or just the way things are done at the record label, they're going to be working with a songwriter. And maybe that's not the end of the world, or maybe they feel like that's going to ruin all individuality they have. Either way, it's a distinct surprise when the young songwriter brought on to help them looks decidedly not metal. But Beatrice considers herself to be an adaptable little sponge, looking to mold herself in their image instead of the other way around. Not only that, but her portfolio boasts a pet project concept album taking influence from Lord of the Rings and H.P. Lovecraft, so maybe she has potential. She's also willing to put in the time, spending plenty of late nights getting to know at the very least one member of the band so she can work with him to write the best damn metal album they can. I also have it in my mind that Bea and Robin, who share an apartment, are still from Hawkins as well but didn't run in the same circles as Eddie and Co.
All main characters are 18+ with no high school settings involved!

  • The concept here was who babysat Dustin before Steve took the mantle? I reached far back into Dustin's past for this one, as Henrietta (Henri) comes from Dustin's time before Hawkins. Before he moved there in the fourth grade, he was watched over by a foster care kid in desperate need of some positive attention from an adult. She became close with the Hendersons, to the point that even after they left they would still send her birthday cards and call her from time to time. A caregiver to the nth degree, most money she made through babysitting and odd jobs was used to help the younger foster kids in her crowded homes. So when she turned 18 and aged out of the system, there wasn't really anything left over for herself. After hearing her desperation, Mrs. Henderson wired her money for a bus ticket and insisted she stay with them until she could get on her own two feet.
  • Looking for the canon take here, this would see a lot of similar themes to the show itself. Again we don't have to follow things one for one, but this would still likely involve the Upside Down and all that entails. Perhaps most importantly, though, it involves ice cream. This would begin with Henri's arrival in Hawkins. Not wanting to feel like she's mooching off of people who treated her so well for so long, she's barely off the bus before she's talking about getting a job. What should be an unassuming trip to the mall in an effort to show her what Hawkins has to offer, she's introduced to Dustin's new babysitter and the exciting world of Scoops Ahoy. What should have been a scheme on Dustin's part to get some free ice cream, friend of a friend and all that, instead gets warped into a request for an application. Now both of Dustin's favorite babysitters will be spending a lot more time together, and that may get them into more trouble than either of them bargained for. It's hard to tell what's more unexpected, the fact that there are monsters in the Midwest or the notion that Dustin Henderson is best pals with a guy that looks like he parties and once captained some kind of sports team.
  • This is an idea I'm happy to play within either the 80s or a modern setting, this would see an increasingly bewildered Henrietta and Steve getting involved in situations torn from horror movies. Maybe one week they're facing off against some escaped serial killer, the next there's a ghost latched onto one of them. In any case, there's a lot of danger surrounding both of them and the people they care about. It feels like they're the main characters in too many different franchises, and the director just can't get their stories straight. At some point it goes from being terrifying to borderline annoying, as they either try to simply survive the litany of beasts and murderers or they try to figure out just why all of these things keep happening to them specifically. As with most other AUs, this could include a side of any combination of our favorite canon characters. I don't know that I'm looking to include any major character death in this AU, instead just throwing nearly nameless side characters into the jaws of killers and beasts. I mostly just think there's something both fun and funny about them becoming begrudgingly used to facing off against terrifying foes, until it becomes almost mundane to them.
Full disclosure: I have no love interests from House of the Dragon, I include that here as a possibility for doubling since the two are closely related. As always, all characters are aged up to 18+ as necessary! I am also only in around season 7 of GoT but I have spoiled plenty for myself so I am not upset at all if you reference something I haven't gotten to yet.

Lady Marielle Eymard ~ A young lady from a house already pledged to House Stark. She has a nearly photographic memory and is smarter than both her brothers (Dorian and Laurent) combined. Ideally, she would become an incredible spymaster. Her major hitch in the relationship is that she's intended to a cruel, abusive lord named Roderick Keppel, who is set to inherit his own land. This would ideally be set towards the beginning of the war, with their relationship developing before a deal can even be struck with the Freys. This, naturally, leaves How we navigate past that point will definitely see some revisions to existing canon.
Eleana Belford ~ Inarguably my darkest background lives with this character. Put short, she was put through a harrowing survival situation. Her village, high up in the North, was ransacked by Wildlings leaving many of them no choice but to flee upwards into the mountains. The area was largely impassable and the group, including her entire family, became trapped. She worked to keep her family alive before herself, even sending them on a last ditch escape attempt without her when she was too weak to make the journey herself. The men of the Night's Watch managed to find most of them, with her being the last to be discovered (only by virtue of Ghost) on the brink of death. This would take place within Castle Black for some time, with their relationship developing as she regains strength. There's a lot of room to play with timelines here, just to carve our own path.
Dannya Traske ~ A lowborn girl who previously had been employed at Storm's End, at the same time that Gendry had been taken there. She sent home most every bit of money she made to the farm where she grew up. Her father still worked the land and her mother was sick, barely able to care for her four siblings. When word comes to her that her father has died, she decides she must make her way back home. Unfortunately, the "first boat" she was promised by Ser Davos, is then needed to help Gendry escape Storm's End before he's killed. This essentially sees the two of them as traveling buddies, despite the fact that this girl is adamant about her independence. She has a thick skin and rarely takes handouts, instead choosing to rely on herself. Of course, that's easier said than done when traveling alone in a nation at war.
Lyra Mosseley ~ A lowborn girl displaced by the war after the rest of her family was taken from her. Lyra meets Brienne of Tarth and Podrick Payne as she attempts a journey all on her own to the North, where her mother has family in another village. Unable to allow a pretty commoner with nothing but the clothes on her back to go alone, Brienne begrudgingly allows Lyra, who insists on helping, to join them in their journey tracking down Sansa Stark all the way to Winterfell. This would be another case of spending a good deal of time on the road, filling in some gaps in their timeline as we see fit!
Eleanor Pratt ~ A very confused lady, to say the least. She has the opportunity to bond with Bucky over both of them having been experimented on. Initially, Eleanor doesn't even believe she's human (or know her name for that matter). Among the ways she was altered, she's essentially been brainwashed into believing she's an android built for mercenary work. In her fighting prime she doesn't have the ability to feel anything and has had necessary bodily processes halted. She doesn't need to eat or sleep and has some capacity for self-healing. This would see her learning of her humanity early on and having the procedures reversed enough that she's still deadly but can actually be human. Expect a lot of hurt/comfort, trauma-bonding, and sparring practice.
I don't actually have an OC formulated for this yet, but I will die on the hill that video game Peter Quill > movie Peter Quill. There was just something very charming about him. I'm workshopping either an alien babe to pair him with or perhaps some other hero originally from Earth that finds herself as a bit of a fish out of water among the stars. (If there's something I'm a sucker for, it's a fish out of water.) Expect a lot of gentle (and maybe not so gentle) ribbing, music sharing, and impromptu dates in far-flung dives across the galaxy. I love to see a bit of outlaw action, so having them be not wholly good and not wholly bad is a plus to me. The charm is in the assholery and tomfoolery, after all!
I normally make an OC to fit a certain pairing, but in this case I've got an OC in mind that I want to try who I could see involved with any number of different characters within the Marvel universe. Most heroes who get the most attention are geniuses, rich, famous, or any combination. If they aren't, they're either practically legends or are actually considered gods. On the other side of the coin is someone like my character, who has no claim to fame or hyper-specific area of specialty. She's just a tired millennial who happened to gain superpowers. While she knows she's in a position to do a lot of good in the world, she's reluctant to become a hero because it conflicts with her already hectic work schedule. There's a lot of different routes we could take this character in, but I like to see her paired with someone who is already established as a prominent player in intergalactic conflicts.

Some characters I'd like to pair with her:
Thor
Loki
Pietro Maximoff (X-Men Version)
Bucky
Peter Parker (as an adult/out of college)
Scott Lang
Steve Rogers
And now for the real long shot, because I was thinking about comfort shows and this came to mind. I have a big sentimental attachment to this 2010s FX gem, to the point that I have an unshakable interest in those rural, Appalachian settings in general. That said, as I'm beginning a rewatch I'm remembering the two OCs I had planned out opposite some side characters. I've never seen anyone RPing this before, but I just figured... why not?

As a fair warning, both OCs have some less than rosy life circumstances/backgrounds. Particularly there will be references to abuse, specifically emotional and physical, written in for both girls. I'll try and go light on the spoilers but particularly for the second gal there's a bit of canon woven in.

Charlotte Ross ~ A fresh face coming right out of Glynco, she's a very green Marshal assigned to the less than desirable Lexington office. She's got a quick wit and a dry sense of humor, but dodges plenty of questions about her own past. But the small town setting isn't unfamiliar to her in the slightest. Born and raised in a town called Brimstone straddling the Texas-Louisiana border, she's known plenty of trouble from her own surroundings. I could talk up a storm about Brimstone, in another life it was bound to be my own little Southern Gothic setting for stories, but I'll just say for now there are some interesting characters from Charlotte's past there that could easily come back to bite her. But I'll only get into that in the planning stages!
Imogene Maitlaw ~ I can't exactly explain why I wound up making an OC to pair with a relatively minor henchman character but I did and I love her so here we are. The Maitlaw family hails from small town Virginia, where they became notable for their grow operation. In the wake of Mags Bennett's departure, there's a sudden opening in Eastern Kentucky. Imogene doesn't claim to be the brains or brawn of the operation, but she's definitely the heart. Perhaps a bit soft to be a criminal, she is still somehow one of the greatest assets considering she's the one with the green thumb. With only her older brothers to cling to, she goes along with their plans to ingratiate themselves to Boyd Crowder, figuring they can ride his coattails to criminal prosperity. Again, I can talk about these family dynamics for ages, but I don't want to scare anyone off yet!
Big big disclaimer here, I may be using the Fantasy High name but everything is intended for a collegiate level or above. Aguefort Adventuring Academy becomes Aguefort Adventuring University with different classes acting as majors. Spoilers apply for both campaigns! I'm going to stick with general chatter around pairings over plot points, we can plan to do something a little more canon-based or take it to AU events completely. I'm happy with anything, I'd just love to write within this universe!

What's this? No OC listed? I very rarely feel compelled to write as a canon character, but Adaine's background and general story is so fascinating that I would love the chance to play her. I'm also a huge sucker for the mismatched aesthetic in a pairing. I think it would be particularly neat to explore something starting with their more antagonistic relationship in season 1 to build on the development they get into towards the end and into the beginnings of season 2.
I'd love to follow a bit of Fabian's identity/class crisis, especially because the Leviathan setting has been just perfect to me. So to match Fabian's little crisis, I'm thinking of a sea druid type character. I like a kind of antagonistic relationship sparking between them, with some squabbling and one-upmanship before his whole existential dread sets in. I'm thinking of an old rivalry between her family and Bill Seacaster, not enough to be deadly but enough for her to automatically dislike Fabian. I plan on giving her some interesting culture shock as well, winding up out of Leviathan and into the strange new world of Solace to really make her a fish out of water.
I love this universe so much that I'd also take a chance to make up our own Aguefort Adventuring University party. As with any good DnD party we can allow our messed up characters to dictate the flow of the story along with providing them some adventures to go on. Naturally this would at least start around the Elmville area, but once we get our party into enough trouble we could easily explore more of Spyre! I don't have an OC in mind yet, I find that a little more interesting to build as we discuss some characters we'd like to play and how they can get along.
