A specialized form of Warp Ammo calibration, Vanes has honed his biotic ability to specifically alter mechanical targets. Armor is rendered useless under the effects of his unique munitions, though maintaining it requires considerable effort. To that end, he prefers to only use it with high caliber single-shot weapon systems. Additionally, shields and barriers render this ammo much less effective.[/tab]

A unique ability Cole has only just begun to hone. He concentrates an electrically charged ball of biotic energy in one hand and then slings it at an enemy, disorienting their visual systems and briefly stunning them. He opted to use this in lieu of grenades, which he believes to be vastly overrated. The ability requires much refinement before it can be used efficiently.[/tab]

Utilizing a brief cloaking device built into his armor and enhanced by his biotics, Vanes executes a stealthy charge behind enemy lines. He then uses either a firearm or a unique 'omni-blade' flash-forged with his omni-tool to dispatch combatants.[/tab]

Vanes relies largely on biotic barriers to avoid sustaining damage to his physical person. These are augmented by shields built into his armor, though the electromagnetic interference means that the shields are much weaker than his barrier. [/tab]
[Artemis]••––––
As a soldier designed to be less noticed and more precise, Vanes also possesses technical expertise and an advanced VI of his own construction named Artemis. With Artemis he can hack hardpoints, disrupt electronic communications, and utilize in-combat viruses to temporarily disable shields. The VI suite is particularly good at hacking into Geth infrastructure.

HISTORY
Born on Earth. Parents deceased. School records show spotty attendance, yet his grades were impeccable. At age 18 he immediately joined the Alliance Navy and, after becoming a designated marksman was deployed into trouble areas around the Skyllian Verge. While based in Elysium he was responsible for tracking and aiding in the dismantling of half a dozen pirate/slaver groups, and caught the eye of Systems Alliance special operations. At age 25 Cole was inducted into Interplanetary Combatives Training (ICT), the birthplace of the prestigious N7 program.
Over the next four years Cole ascended the ranks of the program, passing through N1 to N6 at an astronomical rate. During his N6 assessments the Geth Incursion began, and Cole was redirected from anti-batarian ops to combat the new threat. He was among the first of the boots on the ground during the Citadel Incident and his performance there was met with considerable praise and resulted in a full promotion from Ensign to Lieutenant.
Cole Vanes is slated to be promoted to a full N7 designation within the next six months. If he is to be conscripted it must be before this promotion. N7 operatives are too high-profile to simply disappear as he would have to in order to join [REDACTED]
