With tear filled eyes she says "I love you! Promise to call me when you land!" Lucy waves at him and bites her lip to keep it from quivering.
Six months. It was only going to half a year on tour and then he'd be back. Lucy could do it, it wouldn't be that long, and when he came back they would start their life together.
Background:
Lucy was seven when YC (Your character) moved in next door. Immediately he became best friends with her brother, Matt since they were the same age. For years she was just Matty's little sister to YC, until she was a junior in high school. Lucy had been crushing hard on him ever since that fateful day the moving van pulled into the house next door, but she was never brave enough to tell him. When they were just starting high school he found his love for music and started a band. It wasn't just some garage band either, it was incredible and they were good. Really good. It was then that the girls started throwing themselves at YC and professing their love, but none of them lasted long in his world. It wasn't until Lucy, who was two grades under him started Junior year that he finally admitted his feeling to her. The two started dating and as far as Lucy was concerned, they were madly in love and soulmates. Just a few months after she graduated, he got a record deal and was set for a tour around the US. It was for a six month touring contract and then he would renegotiate with the record or come home. When he told her they were both over the moon, this was exactly what he wanted. A few days before he left Lucy find out she was pregnant. Making a rash decision she didn't tell him. He would have dropped the tour to be with her and she knew that. There was no way she was coming between his dreams. It was only six months and then he would be back and she could share the exciting news. So she kept it a secret. She never imagined that he wouldn't come back. That his contact would become less and less before it stopped completely, not even officially breaking up. Lucy was crushed.
Six Years Later:
Now that Matty is getting married to Lucy's best friend Becca, it only natural that he would want YC, to be his best man. That thought hadn't even crossed Lucy's mind with all the excitement, so she wasn't prepared for what was to come. But now, a month before the wedding, YC shows up to spend some much needed quality time with his friend and family, taking a break from the spotlight for just a little while.
But Matt isn't the only one engaged. Sophia is YC's fiance, a model, that the media claims is all just for show, but who knows what he's like anymore. Maybe models are his thing now? Sophia isn't set to come down till the day before Matt's wedding, too busy on a modeling shoot for something as trivial as a wedding to someone she doesn't know. Sophia is not the kindest person, she despises spending time with non-famous people, worried too much about her own image. She hates kids, thinking they are disgusting and a germ to the world. Jealously rages through her when she sees YC spending time with other girls, and she will say some hateful things to discourage them from speaking to him. What a joy.
For the first time in six years, Lucy will lay eyes on him again, their children unaware the man that just stepped into their life is their father. How long can Lucy keep her secrets before they unravel? What will the future hold for this broken family?

- I would like for replies to be detailed, it doesn't have to be a novel by any means, but a a few paragraphs would be appreciated. I am not a fan of one liners. I would like the effort to be matched between partner.

Wilson is more quiet and reserved, observing from the sidelines. Wilson is very intelligent for being only 4. It was while she was sleeping over every night that she and Matt found their feelings for each other. | Sophia The witch your character is engaged to. She cares more about image. She is shallow and bitter towards anyone who doesn't have a "status" worthy of her presence. They started dating when she came to a concert and made her way backstage, offering herself up to your character.
