Hello gentle creatures,

I'm Baxter, Bax if you prefer. Baxter Peters was the name of a mage I played in a White Wolf Game back in the day. He was deeply sarcastic, self destructive, and self sacrificing. He was a lot of fun to write. I try to make characters that feel real to me, complete with strengths, weaknesses, drives, and personality. You could say that flawed characters are my jam.

I'm pretty easy going in terms of genre and themes. What I look for is a solid hook, a good initial setup to get the characters moving and interacting. From there, let's just see where things go.

Anyway, that's enough random babbling. I welcome questions, but if there aren't any, that's just fine.

Ah White Wolf, someone after my own heart. I am hoping by mage you mean Mage the Acension and not that other crap WW trotted out. At any rate, if you ever feel like dusting off your Wold of Darkness material, feel free to drop me a line. I am pretty much the resident expert in brining tabletop material into an online RP format. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I already have a Deadlands game and a cyberpunk game very reminiscent of Shadowrun.

Mage the Ascension is a dear love of mine. My RPG bookshelf has 4 copies over three editions. The Awakening, and really the New World of Darkness as a whole, left me pretty cold. I appreciate what they were trying to do, but the more grounded approach just didn't have the inspired insanity of the previous games.

I actually prefer mixed universe, though I do have share of MtA characters. My favorite thing to play are gypsies. In fact, my longest running RP is one between a Pooka (Changeling) and a gyspy with a very indimidating Ravnos aunt.

I never had much love for Gypsies. They were... problematic in ways. I could see what other people liked in them, but they weren't for me.

Mage and Changeling were my faves. I ran a beautiful Changeling chronicle that fully embraced the gradual death of innocence as a central theme. One of the best sessions I even ran was based on a Nick Cave murder ballad.

I love the themes of Werewolf, but the buckets of dice and way gifts were all these individual bits of rules to memorize bothered me. S'why I never got into Exalted. Great ideas welded to a system I don't have any patience for.

And, like all White Wolf kids, I have a soft spot for vampire, with all it's madness.

Gypsy I always liked only because you could mix them with ANY setting. They're extremely versatile characters. The only issue I ever run into, but it's one I like toying with, is I tend to play gypsy girls from very strict famlies. I enjoy that for the whole clash of cultures atomosphere.

I think my favorite werewolf character is "the world's crappiest Black Spiral Dancer". She was, at least by most standards, a semi-decent person. Just caught up with the wrong people and fiercely loyal to her sister who was very much the stereotypical BSD (played by a very good freind of mine).

My favorite Werewolf was a Bone Gnawer. He was a Junkyard Dog Galliard Country singer who bristled at other wolves looking down on him.

Thank you, Abyssal Admin.

In the game we were in online my BSD ended up hooking up with a Ronin garou, and later marrying a Demon. She was actually a pretty fun, nice girl. Well as nice as a crazy ass death machine can be. I have her sheet somewhere. Ah here it is ! Dalines: Sheet Generator - Werewolf: the Apocalypse
