Princess Seraphina is soon to be wed.
Her father, King Frederick of Dulmacia, has arranged for her to wed the crown prince of Assal in order to create an ally and end an old grudge…
Assal was a bordering kingdom that Dulmacia has long had a tense relationship with ever since a war recently ended seven years ago against a coven of vampires… the kingdom of Assal had chosen to surrender in exchange for mercy. The vampires had briefly occupied the castle of Assal until their master was killed in battle and all the vampires, their power greatly diminished without their master, fled underground, never to be heard from again.
Upon meeting the royal family of Assal, Seraphina honestly finds Prince Lucian to be a total bore that rarely smiles and would rather be buried under dusty scrolls and moldy relics to instead of getting to know his bride to be.
His sister however, YC, is witty and funny, intelligent and charming. Seraphina is instantly drawn to her, hoping that if she must marry such a boring man, she’ll at least get a wonderful new best friend out of the deal.
YC is deeply attracted to the bright and fun loving princess Dulmacia… she’s sure her brother wouldn’t give a flying fig if she began a romantic relationship with his wife, he’s certainly not going to be making any attempts.
Though… YC also has a well kept secret… During the vampire occupation of her kingdom, she had been turned as punishment for her father making a failed attempt at seeking aid from Dulmacia.
Seraphina soon finds herself wooed and seduced by the Assalian princess, even finding herself providing blood to her new lover now and again.
I am still tinkering with a broader storyline beyond Seraphina and YC’s relationship… I was considering that the vampires are conspiring again with a new master at the helm and now Seraphina and YC must unveil their plot and the mastermind behind it all before it’s too late.
I’m also totes open to suggestions.
