Unfortunately, my partner is taking a leave of absence for an indeterminate amount of time, potentially permanently... so I'll be looking to find a replacement partner for this story to play the Dragon King.
dragons can take a humanoid shape, this is required for any and all intimate scenes, aligning with Inner Sanctum rules
Human and dragon kind are on the verge of going to war with each other after generations of friendship… dragons used to lovingly watch over humanity in a guardian type relationship, with humanity expressing gratitude for this in the form of gifts and fanciful stories told around a cheerful fire. Some womenfolk would even bake special treats for specific dragons that favored protecting their specific bloodline.
However, when greedy monster hunters take down a cousin of the dragon king to harvest its blood and other parts for a foreign witch… the dragons are enraged and blame the king and his people when the hunters responsible manage to escape with the bits and parts of their slaughtered brother and friend.
The human king vows to pursue the villains responsible if the dragon king (yc) would simply agree to come to the castle and talk with him, they could discuss how to go about the operation together and bring those responsible to justice. The dragon king, remembering the many beautiful years of tender friendship with the humans of this kingdom, agrees to the meeting.
When he arrives, the dragon king spots a beautiful maiden in the palace gardens and pauses to speak with her before meeting the king. Something about this maiden's energy… it warm, comforting, soothing, exactly the type of energy he needed to be around before this meeting happened.
He finds her to be most kind, gentle and highly sorrowed over the death of the slain dragon, expressing confusion over how these men responsible could do something so horrible to a creature that had never been anything but good to all of them. She delights him with her intelligent and independent way of thinking, leaving him feeling refreshed and ready for the meeting.
When he meets with the king, he learns the maiden he met was in fact the king's own daughter, Princess Seraphina.
The dragon king makes a proposition to the human king…
If Princess Seraphina were to agree to nest with him, to be his mate and his queen… then even if they failed to apprehend the villains they sought, he would not hold the kingdom responsible for his slain cousin. The debt of blood would be paid in the form of new life in the hatchlings that he and the princess would produce, hybrids that would represent both human and dragon kind alike, uniting the two species as never before.
The king would be taken aback and saying he couldn't make that decision without consulting his daughter first… but from behind the king… the princess steps into the room and gives her approval of this deal.
