To add further to her luck, she is quickly rescued by local partisans and brought to a farmhouse to rest and hopefully recover from such a traumatic experience. There, she meets a mysterious, dark haired SOE operative, dedicated to both keeping the pilot safe and to find a way back to England. Initially apprehensive, the two slowly grow close as they encounter close-calls, firefights, and the pressures of life under the tyranny of the Gestapo.
