Feather
The Paramilitary Potoo
Hey, I'm Isaac. I have a moderate amount of experience in roleplaying. Mostly on and off for the last couple of years with only a handful of long and in-depth roleplays under my belt. My last big roleplay was a million plus word behemoth that spanned nine different perspectives and it burned me out for a while. I want to get back into it and I haven't had a whole lot of luck lately with getting a good partner. If you're looking for a well-written partner for the long term, I implore you to read ahead and see if you're willing to give me a shot.
Genres…
The only one that's right out is smut. Never really been a fan of it in any medium. I find it both uncomfortable to read and write, and it's not necessary to the story the vast majority of the time. Most of the common genres people enjoy I'm completely open to.
My preferences are: Sci-fi, modern, horror, and probably mystery. I'm also entertaining the thought of doing some Fandom roleplays. There's only a couple that I'd feel comfortable doing given my knowledge of the lore. Halo, Metroid, Starbound, SCP, American Truck Simulator, Kung fu Panda, and HTTYD. The latter two I'm only familiar with the movies, not their respective television series.
Characters…
I can play a wide range of characters. Male, female, neither, humans, monsters, robots, anthros, inanimate objects, and I have at least one character in each of those categories too. I love hearing about others characters as well, no matter how outlandish it might seem to you. Though, there is a limit to what I'll feel comfortable roleplaying with. Gigantic, neon red, naked dragons are gonna have to be where I draw the line unfortunately.
Another thing, I like playing multiple characters at a time as well. You don't have to if you don't want to, as long as you don't mind if I do. Though this is all flexible so if you have a plot idea in mind, I'm perfectly fine with limiting myself to a single character.
Length of posts…
I'm not really a stickler for how much you want to write out for a post. Sometimes, when two characters are having a conversation, 6-8 paragraphs isn't always needed. The vast majority of the time I've found I write 1-3 paragraphs consistently with the occasional longer post when necessary. All I ask from you is one paragraph at least. You can write more if you want, as much as you want. Just as long as it isn't disruptively verbose.
Frequency of posts...
We all can get busy, distracted, or just plain forget things. My energy levels can fluctuate from day to day, or even throughout the day. I also understand that sometimes you can just not be in the mood for roleplaying, I get it. I'll do my best to do at least one post a day, hopefully more than that. If you can do that, awesome. If you need more time than that, that's cool too. I'm flexible with things. As long as I know you're still enjoying the roleplay and want to continue, I'll be fine waiting for a few days or even going on hiatus if need be.
Spelling…
In this day and age of spellcheck permeating most everywhere, simple misspellings are easily avoidable. If you're in doubt, stick it in google documents and let the computer do the work for you. Give it a once over too just in case the spellcheck corrects to the wrong word. The occasional misspelling isn't going to get you out in front of the firing squad, but constant avoidable mistakes will force me to take you out behind the barn.
Grammar…
This I can be a little more lenient on than spelling. Just sticking a post into google docs doesn't always detect incorrect syntax. What I've found is reading your post out loud to yourself, verbatim, word for word, can help you detect weird wording. Sometimes English grammar can be nebulous so it's not a big deal if something isn't perfectly correct. As long as it isn't disruptive or tearing away the immersion, I'm not too worried about it. Though if I do notice something, I'll let you know so you can fix it and keep it in mind down the road.
Limits…
I've already covered some of them above but I'll reiterate them here.
Not doing smut in any form. Fade to black maybe if it serves the story.
Your characters can be outlandish and fun, but don't make them ridiculous. Giant, neon wolves that can kill with a single thought are not welcome.
Egregious spelling mistakes. Spellcheck is easy and free, use it.
If you're paying attention, send me a fun fact about your favorite animal if you decide to message me.
Don't, for the love of god, kill off named characters without correspondence. Godmodding and powergaming aren't fun and I will call anyone out on it.
Keep yourself amiable. Be constructive, not destructive. Communication is key.
Plots and ideas…
These are only a handful of the ideas I have. There are plenty more that I'd be more than happy to share with you. If there's an idea you're itching to write, tell me about it! I'd love to hear some of your ideas!
If there's more information you need, let me know and I'll amend the post. I hope to hear from you soon!

Plots and ideas…
- Modern, mystery, adventure. Your character is a hunter of supernatural creatures. Similar types of creatures are appearing more and more frequently. They're looking for something, and they're becoming frantic and desperate. Your latest encounter brings both you and the monster out into the public eye, causing mass panic.
- Sci-fi, horror, adventure. An isolated research lab suffers a catastrophic breach of containment. Play as a scientist desperate for survival, a soldier tasked with recontaining the monsters that are now roaming free through the complex, or play as a monster taking advantage of the breach to escape. Regardless of the path you choose, survival is not guaranteed.
- Modern, horror, adventure. You awaken to find yourself aboard a large container ship. The previous crew seems to have disappeared without a trace. A fierce storm rages outside. The creaking and moaning of the ship as it weathers the waves drowns out the sounds of something else that's wandering the halls with you.
