October is a special time in the Sanctum. Halloween is upon us and so, to get you all in the spirit of the season, we bring you our first October event for the year: Our October Writing challenge. For this month, your prompt:
They all say the old place is haunted, but that's just superstition.

What does that mean? Up to you. The prompt, as always, can be interpreted however you like, as long as your submission makes some attempt at it. There are no length limits or requirements, though we ask that you keep things reasonable. As long as an entry follows site rules and attempts the prompt, the entry is allowed.
