Introductions
Hello, I'm Steele! I've been roleplaying since way before I probably should have been (like, 11 or 12 years old?) and trust me it was bad, lmao. As a 26 year old, I'm a little better now. Slice of life within a sci-fi setting is my preferred bread and butter, and sometimes dabbling into galactic politics depending on how stories go. Before I started writing sci-fi, I did more modern "misunderstood monster" stories, and I am looking into getting back into stories like that. I'm not shy on gore and violent graphics, and even quite like it. I am also not shy on most of the other trigger warning topics, but it feels disingenuous to mark them, as I'm not necessarily seeking out stories that contain them. I'm just okay with ideas that contain them.
Post Length, OOC, and Further Delves Into Content
I'm a yapper and decent at matching, and replying within a few days. Anything from 2 to 6 paragraphs or more, all depending on what I was given to work with. Matching is not required for every post, but expect my own post length to adapt to yours. This isn't always a bad thing, as 6+ paragraph posts for small actions or even fast moving scenes sometimes wear me out.
By the way, speaking of yapping, I like to yap in DM's about ideas, plans, art, whatever all day long if you let me.
Now, about that mention of being okay with almost all content...
I have a good separation of reality and fiction, or I have just been on the internet too long-- regardless, knowing that things are fictional, I can handle all kinds of content, hence the general "sensitive topics" tag. But handling is different from seeking, so I tagged the content I am most likely to write myself and want a partner to indulge me in.
I like writing violence and gore, and can do both tasteful omission and straight up body horror. Tell me your tolerance level or if you really want to see it, even. I'll meet the need.
Narrative bigotry is kind of integral to outcast and monster stories, or space politics with war mongers and different species, but I don't focus too hard on it. It's a kind of watered down videogame type of racism, or weary caution most of the time. Think Skyrim and all the comments you get if you pick a beast race. I'm fully willing to make it more intense for story or tone it down, but this is my baseline when writing it.
Now for the content types I'm much less likely to write or not seeking out but will still tolerate with stipulation. Rapid fire style:
Kink - Can and will, but my character's junk don't follow the rules bc aliens, monster fuckers, and weird sex dynamics are just too cool, and I'm not changing it, so I gotta fade to black, sorry.
(Sorry, I'm being sassy. This is my biggest rules sticking point as a treky and a monster/alien fucker, but I'll behave by just not doing sex focused stories. I'll just be freaky in my corner and respect the why, the runaway implications, and gray area abuse of allowing this kind of thing.)
Sexual assault - backstory, implied events, or aftermath is all cool. If you write it out, be tasteful and not weirdly kinky about it.
Incest - not my thing, but you do you if its part of the character you're playing. My characters will probably judge or try to help if they find out.
Self harm - I don't typically write characters that struggle with this, but am okay with partner's characters that do.
Substance abuse - also don't typically write this, if you bring a character that does, just be realistic about how awful it is. Doesn't apply to nights out and getting a little fucked up one time.
Partner Preferences, Story vs Smut, Fandom and Original Content
Typos? Oh yeah, I'm the master. I do it, you do it, I usually won't even notice until I reread posts. I'll tell ya' up front I turned off autocorrect on my phone if I ever end up writing replies on mobile. So I'm also the master of random minor grammar mistakes, so I won't bother you about semi frequent uncapitalized "I"'s either.
Post pace will keep me motivated, especially more than a reply a day, but don't be afraid to take up to a week. After that? I might start to forget what I've written last or lose motivation unless i'm really into the rp.
As stated before, I'm behaving by just not doing smut, but if I end up with a human character, I'm completely capable of just slapping out post after post when I'm in the mood for it. But yes, this post is 100% story focused for now, as this is what I usually do. I like my drama. On the note of stories...
Tell me all your ideas, literally all of them, even if they're dumb, and you don't intend to act upon them, because it might inspire new ideas that are more realistically actionable in the rp.
One last thing, I'm allergic to fandom and prefer all original lore and characters. Divorced from IP content is iffy and kind of just depends on how far away it's strayed from the IP it came from.
Now with all that out of the way, Ideas!
I've almost forgotten with all my yapping...
Now, I've only got some vague things going with an extreme focus on cultural differences or misunderstood monsters so bare with me-- if anything inspires you, DM me, and we can hash it out because idea collaboration is where I shine. I'm a weird pan gender queer so don't worry about pairing issues, do what you want.
Slice of Life within Sci-fi
I love culture differences. I love being forced into a roommate situation with an alien you've only heard bad things about. I love very literal predator and prey dynamics with civilized creatures suppressing their nature. I don't know, Zootopia with aliens I guess. This can be any number of scenarios, really. Platonic or romance focus, following a variety of slice of life tropes and set-ups such as coffee shops, coworkers, roommates, college kids, all with a sci-fi backdrop and some normalization of alien immigration to different societies, no matter how badly they stick out amongst the natives.
Political Intrigue or Drama Focused Sci-fi
I have some big lore, some big species, some big players in some incomplete world that could totally meld with another half of your incomplete lore, either crafted as needed or pre-tailored. This will take place in a more established universe with many moving parts. A calmer story can take place here, but big things will be happening in the background that may or may not affect the characters. This is where all my characters live and if you like lots of moving parts, multiple characters at play, dramatic or calm, ask me about a main universe rp if you can bring some interesting ideas, or if you just wanna hear about what I have going on because I have a single barely complete post about it,
Modern or ... low sci-fi? Monster story.
Leaving my freshest idea and a kind of comfort plot for last, although very similar to the first in a few ways, is much different. Drawing inspiration from things like E.T., and Iron Giant, this idea is about encountering some kind of beast or strange humanoid monster that may be ambivalent or friendly, pose some kind of challenge to the person harboring it, or even danger, even if the monster isn't exactly aggressive. Think about the damage a tiger living in your house would cause, and how dangerous it might be if it decided to lay on you for cuddles. This beast or humanoid will be sapient and able to communicate with gestures, garbled language, or mostly complete English depending on your preference of communication challenge.
Finally, Characters.
Purple people! Monstrous, beastly, purple people! So terrible!
These are my big monstrous humanoid alien shapeshifters I've been alluding to, and yes the weights are insane due to density and square cubed law. I hate square cubed law so much but here we are. These are also just three flavors of what I have to offer, I simply want to play them the most but I might have something different to present depending on ideas. The personality overviews will just contain small hints of main universe backstory, as it might get modified for different settings, but the core and plot points will most likely stay similar as it makes them who they are.
Character art is a little hodge podge because I am bad at making reference images or in some cases, any nice colored art, so some spoilers might contain up to 5 images to get the point across. Uncreditted images are mine.
Ritka Topol
Age: 54, young adult
Species: Bitamul
Pronouns: They/them
Height: 7 ft
Weight: 773 lbs
Other Form: 10 ft at the shoulder, 17 ft from nose to tail base, 13 foot long tail. 30 ft in total legnth. 12,500 lbs.
Plucky, exciteable, prone to running their mouth a bit too much. Ritka is made of tough stuff, keeping a happy attitude through thick and thin despite how out of character it is for one of their kind. They attribute it to confidence, as they like to punch above their weight class and take challenges they have slim chances of besting, and often not beating the odds. Yet somehow, they get back up, as confident as ever. They have a bit of a gnawing problem- no, perhaps, an issue with seeing smaller species as potential food sources. Or maybe it's an expression of latent trauma due to injuries, expressed in the only way an obligate carnivore knows how. Their concious stops them from doing anything drastic, but the thoughts still creep into their head.
Ivala Lukashov
Age: 71, adult in prime
Species: Bitamul
Pronouns: She/her
Height: 6'10"
Weight: 350~ lbs
Other Form: Desmatosuchus like, measurements TBD, roughly 1,800 lbs
Ivala is a typical small bodied Bitamul, hissy and growly, cautious with anyone larger than her, skeptical of anyone smaller. She is gaurded, and typically always knows the closest way out of a room. She struggles in a world where strength is valued, and she is smaller than most and has quite a few medical problems that hold her back. But walls can be broken down, and given enough time, she will warm up to people that are patient and tolerant of her continued snips and hisses. At least her displeasure is obvious when it comes to meeting new people, and just as obvious when she begins to get use to people, with protests to the presence of others becoming less and less.

Extra images for some eyeballing size referencing, other character is 7'4"
Morus Alba
Age: 184, Late prime to middle-aged
Species: Bitamul
Pronouns: He/him
Height: 7'11"
Weight: 1158 lbs
Other Form Measurements: 10 ft tall at the shoulders, 18 ft long excluding the tail, 10,400 lbs (I didn't measure, these are estimates)
Morus is a stoic older Bitamul that has beaten the odds of a conflict filled life, living much longer into the projected lifespan of a bitamul. A career figher, turned retired wanderer, looking for some kind of purpose or fufilment that's never been found. Not entirely sure what he's looking for, he acts out of character for a species that is considered a cruel monster, especially one of his stature. He often finds himself participating in happenstance vigilantism, and escorting victims home before disapearing, never to be seen in the same place twice. Despite the weapons he carries, sharp teeth and claws, and intimidating size, he is a protector through and through.
I love this guy and somehow dont have a nice colored pic of him i wanna show off??? I better get on that
