I prefer collaborative writing. I'm not looking to fall in love (living that already). And I really want to discover good stories with kindred spirits! I'm Gen X so I'd prefer to write with others like myself or Millennials with old souls.
I adapt my posting to the rhythm of the story being told. Opening scenes, character introductions and plot heavy moments call and will be several posts long. Dialogue will often be only a couple paragraphs.
I have a busy life but usually can be consistent to a few times a week.
I've been told I write male characters well, both heros and villains, and greatly enjoy it. I also like writing female characters for the right plot. I think secondary characters make stories much richer and enjoy dragging them along for the literary ride.
I like modern and futuristic sci-fi fantasy. Very loose medieval historicals. I'm not into horror and gore. And in the end, the good guys have to win, the bad guys have to lose, and the good folk get their happy ever after. (When they split Han Solo and Leia, I was not a happy girl. In the stories, love stands strong and stays together.)
I don't know how many of us older writers there are here, but I'm really hoping to find my people.
