It is in this fantasy-like world where towns live in peace, or at least did until portals started opening up to other dimensions. From these portals, monsters of hellish descent spewed and terrorized town after town, making their way to the captal of the whole land, Lancelot.
The story takes place with our characters crossing paths in the same town one night when flames arise on one end of the town. The two rush towards it to save civilians and fight the monsters that had recently spawned from a nearby portal. After the combat, the two decide to partner up and figure out how to close the portals.
