content warnings: parental death, homophobia, emotional abuse (backstory) ⏤ elias lindholm feels stuck. this wasn't the life he had pictured for himself, but it's the only life he knows. after years of tension and separation from his family, elias has returned home to help his sister run their failing ranch after their father's passing. it's hard work made even more difficult by his sister's plan to save the business: turning the ranch into a destination by opening a bed and breakfast. the change in directions has placed a lot of extra stress on elias and his sister as they navigate conflicting obligations and added duties. at this particular point in time, elias' job is made even more difficult due to a guest on an extended stay at the bed and breakfast. they do not get along and bicker quite frequently, much to his sister's dismay. the plot was intended as an enemies to lovers plot. your character would either need to have the financial means for an extended stay, or work for a company/industry that would put them up for an extended stay for work-related reasons. elias is gay so this plot is open to m/nb characters, unless you want to make it platonic.
